Adding and Modifying Conditional Configurations at a User Device
Base stations and user devices (UEs) of this disclosure implement techniques for managing conditional configurations, which enable a UE to determine whether, when the UE receives a conditional configuration from a base station of a RAN, the UE should add the received configuration as a new configuration, or instead use the received configuration to modify an existing configuration. In different implementations, the RAN may provide the UE with configuration identifiers for this purpose, or may provide the UE with a full list of conditional configurations each time the RAN configures the UE for a conditional procedure.

This disclosure relates to methods and devices for mitigating overheating in a user equipment device (UE). The UE is configured to communicate over each of LTE and 5G NR and may be configured to communicate through 5G NR over each of a Sub-6GHz and a millimeter Wave (mmW) frequency band. The UE is configured to establish an ENDC connection with an enB and one or more gNBs. The UE implements intelligent transmission modification and cell measurement adjustments to mitigate overheating and reduce battery drain.
RE-ESTABLISHMENT METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
A re-establishment method includes: If a link failure occurs in a handover procedure of a terminal device, the terminal device releases configuration information used in a source cell. The terminal device further determines a re-establishment request message based on configuration information used in the target cell, and sends the re-establishment request message in a re-establishment cell. A method for selecting a re-establishment cell and releasing configuration information when a link failure occurs in a dual active protocol stack (DAPS) handover procedure of the terminal device reduces memory consumption of the terminal device.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD AND DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A wireless communication method and device and a communication system. The method includes: a terminal equipment receives a downlink data signal at a time unit n, the downlink data signal including activation/deactivation command acting on a secondary cell; and the terminal equipment performs at least one of the following processing: applying corresponding actions not earlier than a time unit n+k+1; applying actions related to a deactivation timer of the secondary cell at the time unit n+k+1; and applying actions related to CSI report after a time unit n+k, the CSI report being related to or corresponding to the activation/deactivation command, and the time unit referring to a time unit corresponding to transmission of an uplink control signal, the uplink control signal carrying HARQ-ACK information corresponding to the downlink data signal.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A communication method and apparatus are provided, to resolve a problem that a terminal device may fail to normally communicate with a network side when an SCG is suspended and a link problem occurs in an MCG or a signal quality of the MCG deteriorates, so that communication reliability is improved. The communication method and the apparatus are applicable to a communication system of any dual connectivity architecture, such as EN-DC, NGEN-DC, NE-DC and NR-DC. The method includes: When detecting that a link problem occurs in an MCG or signal quality of the MCG is less than a signal quality threshold, a terminal device resumes a suspended SCG, to resume communication between the terminal device and a network side. The MCG is managed by a master node, and the SCG is managed by a secondary node.
Communication Method, Device, and System
A communication method, a device, and a system, the method including sending, by a terminal device that supports a first user identity and a second user identity, first information to a first access network device using the first user identity, the first access network device being an access network device to which a first cell belongs, where the first cell is a primary cell in which the terminal device communicates with the first access network device by using the first user identity, where the second cell is a cell on which the terminal device camps using the second user identity, and the first indication information indicates that the first user identity and the second user identity that are supported by the terminal device share capabilities of the terminal device, and receiving first configuration information from the first access network device using the first user identity.
Wireless communication system, base station, mobile station, and method of wireless communication
A base station includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to transmit, when a state transition of a mobile station is performed, a first control signal to the mobile station, and perform control to simultaneously transmit the first control signal and a second control signal different from the first control signal to the mobile station when a first state transition, which causes a state of the mobile station to transfer from a first state to a second state, is performed, and then a second state transition, which causes the state of the mobile station to transfer from the second state to a third state, is performed.
Communication apparatus capable of wirelessly communicating with another apparatus, control method therefor, and storage medium
A communication apparatus that participates in a network includes a first communication unit which establishes communication with a data processing apparatus via the network and performs data communication with the data processing apparatus according to a first communication method, a control unit controlling execution of a plurality of applications including an application for communicating with the data processing apparatus, a reception unit receiving an instruction for switching the application, and a determination unit, if the reception unit has received an instruction for switching the application to another application while the first communication unit has established communication with the data processing apparatus according to the first communication method, determining whether the another application indicated as a switching destination by the received instruction requires connection to the Internet. The control unit controls whether to cut off the established communication which uses the first communication method depending on a result of the determination.
METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING, BY TERMINAL, SIGNAL IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
In one embodiment, a method of performing an operation for a first terminal in a wireless communication system comprises the steps of: establishing a plurality of PC5 connections with a second terminals; detecting a radio link failure (RLF) for a portion of the plurality of PC5 connections; transmitting, to a base station, identification information for connections other than the portion of the plurality of PC5 connections; and receiving, from the base station, parameter recognition information for the remaining connections.
