Method and apparatus for terminating cellular network connection of unauthenticated terminal
A method and an apparatus for terminating a cellular network connection of a terminal that is connected without authentication are provided. The disclosure relates to a communication technique and a system for fusing a 4th generation (4G) system and a 5th generation (5G) communication system to support higher data rates, which is subsequent to the 4G system, with Internet-of-things (IoT) technology. The disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart home, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, healthcare, digital education, retail business, security and safe-related services, or the like) based on 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology.
Managing client devices on access points
An access point configured to manage client devices connected to the access point. The access point initiates an operational change. The access point generates an announcement to be included in a network frame based on the operational change. The announcement includes at least a list of neighboring access points with which the client devices can connect to and a first time period by which the client devices must connect to at least one neighboring access point included in the list of neighboring access points. The access point broadcasts the network frame to the client devices. Upon expiration of the first time period, the access point disassociates client devices that remain connected to the access point.

Preconfigured uplink resource release counter management
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. Aspects described herein provide techniques and apparatuses associated with synchronizing a preconfigured uplink resource (PUR) release counter between a base station and a user equipment (UE). For example, the synchronization may be performed in connection with the UE entering a connected mode, the base station reconfiguring a PUR, and/or the like. By synchronizing the PUR release counter, misalignment of the PUR release counter between the UE and the base station may be reduced or eliminated. Reducing the misalignment of the PUR release counter reduces the occurrence of a premature release of a PUR, thus reducing UE interference and improving the likelihood of success of the UE's transmission.
Signal transmission power adjustment in a wireless device
Wireless communications are described. A wireless device may determine a first transmission power for a first signal and a second transmission power for a second signal. The wireless device may reduce signal transmission power of one or more of the first signal or the second signal, based on a calculated power value exceeding an allowable transmission power. The wireless device may reduce the signal transmission power during an overlap period or a non-overlap period, based on a duration of an overlap of the first signal with the second signal.

Method of operating a sensor and/or information system and sensor and/or information system
A method of operating a sensor and/or information system which includes at least one main device, in particular a smart device, and at least one secondary device, the method including setting up a wireless communication connection between one of the at least one main device and one of the at least one secondary device using a setup identifier, and discarding the used setup identifier by the secondary device and/or by the main device upon or after termination of the communication connection. A sensor and/or information system is furthermore shown.
Method and System for Signaling Release Cause Indication in a UMTS Network
A method and system for processing signaling release indication cause between user equipment and a wireless network, the method comprising the steps of: monitoring, at the user equipment, whether a signaling connection release indication should be sent to the wireless network; appending, at the user equipment, a cause for the signaling connection release indication to the signaling connection release indication; sending the appended signaling connection release indication to the wireless network; receiving the signaling connection release indication at the wireless network; and filtering said cause to determine whether to raise an alarm.
APPARATUS, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING LOCATION INFORMATION
The disclosed apparatus, systems, and methods relate to a location query mechanism that can efficiently determine whether a target entity is located within a region of interest (ROI). At a high level, the location query mechanism can be configured to represent a ROI using one or more polygons. The location query mechanism can, in turn, divide (e.g., tessellate) the one or more polygons into sub-polygons. Subsequently, the location query mechanism can use the sub-polygons to build an index system that can efficiently determine whether a particular location is within any of the sub-polygons. Therefore, when a computing device queries whether a particular location is within the region of interest, the location query mechanism can use the index system to determine whether the particular location is within any of the sub-polygons.
Method of Radio Bearer Establishment in Dual Connectivity
A method of radio bearer establishment in dual connectivity, for a first base station in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises determining whether to establish or release at least a radio bearer for the communication device on at least a second base station, transmitting a request message including information of the at least a radio bearer to be established or released on the at least a second base station, to the at least a second base station, and receiving a response message including information about accepting or rejecting establishment or release for the at least a radio bearer on the at least a second base station, from the at least a second base station.
