Location-based services
A method for providing location-based notifications on mobile devices is discussed. The method includes determining a first location of user's mobile device based on IP address, GPS signals, Wi-Fi signals, or cellular signals. The method includes accessing data, received by the mobile device responsive to communicating the first location to a server, indicating merchants in an area proximate to the first location. The method includes determining a second location of the mobile device based on other IP address, GPS signals, Wi-Fi signals, and/or cellular signals. The method includes communicating with the server to determine, based on the second location, that the mobile device has crossed into a geofence that includes at least one of the merchants. The method includes effecting, responsive to a determination that the mobile device crossed into the first geofence, a notification on the mobile device indicating at least one of the merchants at the geofence.

USER APPARATUS AND EXTERNAL APPARATUS
A user apparatus has a determiner configured to determine whether a relationship degree indicative of a degree of depth of relationship between a first user who manages the user apparatus and a second user who manages an external apparatus that is located within a predetermined range from the user apparatus is at or above a threshold; an acceptor configured to, when a determination result by the determiner is affirmative, accept an input of an instruction that permits lending to the second user a usage authorization to use a service that is available to the first user on the user apparatus; and a lender configured to, when the acceptor accepts the input of the instruction, provide the external apparatus with authorization information to enable the service to be used on the external apparatus.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING USER INTERFACE, AND TERMINAL DEVICE
A method and device for displaying a user interface (UI), and a terminal device are provided. The method includes the following. A first network coverage quality of a first access network and a second network coverage quality of a second access network are determined. Based on the first network coverage quality and the second network coverage quality, first prompt information for the first access network or second prompt information for the second access network is displayed on the UI.
SIM ROUTER DEVICE, COMMUNICATION TERMINAL DEVICE, METHOD OF ROUTING, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SIM
A SIM router device is configured to access a SIM that stores a first authentication application and a second authentication application. The SIM router device includes a first input interface, a second input interface, a mapping information storage unit, and a controller. The mapping information storage unit is configured to acquire an authentication application list that lists the first authentication application and the second authentication application from the SIM, and store a mapping information in which the first input interface is associated with the first authentication application and the second input interface is associated with the second authentication application. The controller is configured to route, based on the mapping information, a first instruction received by the first input interface to the first authentication application of the SIM, and a second instruction received by the second input interface to the second authentication application of the SIM.
Using wireless rate models based on utilized frequency resources
Usage rates for user equipments (UEs) in a peer to peer wireless network are disclosed. For instance, a network device communicates via a first wireless connection with the network device, wherein the first wireless connection employs a first frequency band, and wherein the first frequency band corresponds to a first rate model. Then, a request is received to change the first frequency band to a second frequency band. A second wireless connection is established with the network device, wherein the second wireless connection employs the second frequency band, and wherein the second frequency band corresponds to a second rate model different than the first rate model.

Method, chip and system for detecting a failure in a PDP context or an EPS PDN connection
The invention relates to a method for detecting a failure in a PDP context or an EPS PDN connection. A chip incorporated within or coupled to a device receives from the device a call control PDP context activation type event or a call control EPS PDN connection activation type event. The chip receives from the device an updated value relating to an HFN start PS. The chip compares the last updated value relating to the HFN start PS to a predetermined value relating to the HFN start PS. If the last updated value relating to the HFN start PS is greater than or is less than/equal to the predetermined value relating to the HFN start PS, then the chip detects that the PDP context or the EPS PDN connection has been successfully or unsuccessfully activated respectively.
Electronic device in wireless communication system and wireless communication method
An electronic device in a wireless communication system and a wireless communication method, including plural cells including current cells and at least one neighbouring cell. The electronic device includes: a transceiver; a first trigger circuit configured to enable the transceiver to conduct a first measurement report, to assist in starting a relay process for enabling the electronic device to communicate with a current cell via a relay user equipment; a second trigger circuit configured to enable the transceiver to conduct a second measurement report, to assist in starting a handover process for enabling the electronic device to be switched from the current cdl to the neighbouring cell; and one or more processing circuits configured to control the first and second trigger circuits, to enable the transceiver to conduct the first measurement report before conducting the second measurement report.
RELAY COMMUNICATION DEVICE, BASE STATION, METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
The present technology provides a system that can provide relay communication adaptive to a communication status between a relay terminal and a remote terminal. A relay communication device that is made movable and relays communication between a base station and a remote terminal includes a determination unit configured to determine a parameter set on the basis of information indicating a communication status related to distance or traffic between the relay communication device and the remote terminal, the parameter set being settable regarding communication between the relay communication device and the remote terminal, and a notification unit configured to notify the remote terminal of information indicating a determination result by the determination unit.
