EXTENDED DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION (eDRX) FOR REDUCED CAPABILITY (REDCAP) USER EQUIPMENT

The present application relates to supporting eDRX by a RedCap UE. In an example, a UE indicates to a network that the UE is operating as a RedCap UE and requests an eDRX configuration. In response, the network selects one or more values for the eDRX and sends such value(s) to the UE.

Configuring a multicast or broadcast wireless network

A Multicast-Broadcast over a Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) message may be multicasted to a cluster of network elements. Using multicasting or unicasting based on a number of unacknowledged network elements of the cluster of network elements, the MBSFN message may be retransmitted to unacknowledged network elements in the cluster of network elements, subsequent to a time period to receive an acknowledgement message from a first and a second network element.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION PROCESS DEVICE, AND DEVICE ADDITION METHOD

A communication system includes: a first node; and a second node that is located at a lower level of the first node and connected to the first node. The second node includes a transmitter that transmits, when the second node is connected to the first node, function identification information for identifying functions installed in the second node, and the first node includes a receiver that receives the function identification information transmitted from the second node, and a processor that is connected to the receiver. The processor executes a process including deciding, based on the function identification information, a function to be enabled or disabled out of the functions installed in the second node, and selecting at least a test item used for verifying the function that is decided to be enabled.

Disclosed are an information transmission method and device, and a computer readable storage medium. The method comprises: an edge node sends a radio capability exposure request to a target transmission node at a radio access network side; the edge node receives radio capability exposure response information responded by the target transmission node. Specifically, the edge node sends the radio capability exposure request to the target transmission node at the radio access network side by means of an Xm interface, and receives the radio capability exposure response information responded by the target transmission node by means of the Xm interface or User Plane Functionality (UPF). In the solution of the present invention, the edge node can directly send the radio capability exposure request to the target transmission node at the radio access network side, and the target transmission node can also directly send the capability exposure response information to the edge node without the need of a core network, and thus better solving the problems in the related art that an information transfer delay exists in a radio capability exposure mode and the burden of core network processing is increased.

End-to-end prioritization for mobile base station

A method for utilizing quality of service information in a network with tunneled backhaul is disclosed, comprising: establishing a backhaul bearer at a base station with a first core network, the backhaul bearer established by a backhaul user equipment (UE) at the base station, the backhaul bearer having a single priority parameter, the backhaul bearer terminating at a first packet data network gateway in the first core network; establishing an encrypted internet protocol (IP) tunnel between the base station and a coordinating gateway in communication with the first core network and a second core network; facilitating, for at least one UE attached at the base station, establishment of a plurality of UE data bearers encapsulated in the secure IP tunnel, each with their own QCI; and transmitting prioritized data of the plurality of UE data bearers via the backhaul bearer and the coordinating gateway to the second core network.

Vehicle roadside unit interference detection

An infrastructure device includes a transceiver, programmed to communicate with a plurality of vehicles, wherein at least one of the vehicles is located within a distance defined from a location of the infrastructure device, and at least one of the vehicles is located outside the distance from the location of the infrastructure device; and a controller, programmed to measure a channel busy ratio (CBR) for communication with the plurality of vehicles, measure a package error rate (PER) for communication with one or more of the vehicles located within the distance, and responsive to the CBR being greater than a CBR threshold, or the PER being greater than a PER threshold, record an interference event into a log.

The disclosure provides methods and system for optimizing PDN synchronization between a user equipment and a network. The method comprises processing, by a user equipment, a deactivate request based on a stored set of parameters. The method further encompasses transmitting, from the user equipment to the network entity, a deactivate accept based on said processing, wherein said transmission of deactivate accept enables said network entity to deactivate a connectivity between the user equipment and the network entity to synchronize the user equipment with said network entity.

POSITIONING REQUEST PROCESSING METHOD, AND DEVICE AND SYSTEM
20230017132 · 2023-01-19 ·

The present disclosure relates to positioning request processing methods, devices, and systems In one example method, a mobility management network element receives a request message, and sends a first message to a location management network element based on the request message, where the first message is used to trigger the location management network element to obtain location information of a first terminal device through user plane positioning. After receiving the first message, the location management network element sends a second message to the first terminal device based on the first message by using a protocol data unit (PDU) session of the first terminal device, where the second message indicates the first terminal device to report positioning data.
