IN-OVEN CAMERA AND COMPUTER VISION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Systems and methods include a cooking appliance comprising a heating element disposed within a cooking chamber and operable to selectively emit waves at any of a plurality of powers and/or peak wavelengths, a camera operable to capture an image of the cooking chamber, and a computing device operable to supply power to the heating element to vary the power and/or peak wavelength of the emitted waves and generate heat within the cooking chamber, and instruct the camera to capture the image when the heating element is emitting at a stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device is operable to generate an adjusted captured image by adjusting the captured image with respect to the stabilized power and/or peak wavelength. The computing device comprises feedback components operable to receive the adjusted captured image, extract features, and analyze the one or more features to determine an event, property, measurement and/or status.

A heating cooker includes shooting section (201) for shooting an image inside a heating chamber that accommodates a heat-target object, and controller (200) that sets a shooting condition for shooting the image of an interior of the heating chamber and carries out an image recognition to the image. Controller (200) analyzes the image of the interior of the heating chamber, thereby recognizing a state inside the heating chamber, and then changes the shooting condition in response to the state inside the heating chamber for shooting the image. The structure discussed above allows this heating cooker (100a), which carries out the image recognition to the image of the interior of the heating chamber, to achieve a greater accuracy in the image recognition.

Food preparation

Devices and methods for RF heating of food, using techniques which allow uniformity and/or controlled non-uniformity.

APPARATUS FOR COOKING AT LEAST TWO FOODSTUFFS
20180235396 · 2018-08-23 ·

An apparatus comprises at least two cooking devices, a control unit, an input device and an output device. The control unit is adapted to determine if at least two of the foodstuffs to be cooked can be cooked in one of the cooking devices in an at least partly concurrent manner. Depending thereon, the control unit allocates the foodstuffs to be cooked to the cooking devices and outputs, via the output device, which of the foodstuffs can be cooked in which cooking device or in which cooking devices.

Adaptive cooking control for an oven

An oven includes a cooking chamber configured to receive a food product, a user interface configured to display information associated with processes employed for cooking, first and second energy sources, and a cooking controller. The first energy source provides primary heating and the second energy source provides secondary heating for the food product. The cooking controller executes instructions associated with a cooking program directing application of energy to the food product via the first or second energy sources. The cooking controller includes processing circuitry configured to monitor energy added to the food product via the first energy source in accordance with the cooking program, receive an indication of a change to a cooking parameter associated with a second energy source, and determine a modification to the cooking program by employing a modification algorithm based on the cooking parameter change.

ELECTRONIC OVEN WITH IMPROVED HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACE

Method and systems related to improved human-machine interfaces for electronic ovens are disclosed. Different methods for displaying information to the user are disclosed. Different methods for dividing segmentation and identification tasks between a user and a control system are disclosed. In one example, an electronic oven includes a touch display, a heating chamber for heating an item, a light sensor having a field of view of at least a portion of the heating chamber, and a microwave energy source coupled to the heating chamber. The oven also includes a computer-readable medium that stores instructions to display the portion of the heating chamber as an image on the touch display using information from the light sensor, and process a touch input on the image.

COOKING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

A cooking apparatus has a cooking chamber, a microwave unit to radiate microwaves to the cooking chamber, a convection unit to supply hot air to the cooking chamber, a grill unit to supply radiant heat to the cooking chamber, an input unit to receive a cooking command and a control unit to perform a cooking corresponding to the received cooking command by performing one of a first heating stage and a second heating stage, and after performing the one of the first heating stage and the second heating stage, performing the other one of the first heating stage and the second heating stage. In the first heating stage, the control unit operates the microwave unit and at least one of the convection unit and the grill unit, and in the second heating stage, the control unit operates the grill unit and the convection unit while not operating the microwave unit.
