Cooking appliance operable in a crisp reheat cycle
A cooking appliance and methods for operating the same in a crisp reheat cycle are provided. In one example aspect, the cooking appliance includes features for crisp reheating a food item that has been cooked and chilled thereafter. The cooking appliance includes a casing defining a cooking cavity configured to receive food items. The cooking appliance also includes a controller. The controller can access data that provides a plurality of crisp reheating instructions for operating the cooking appliance in a crisp reheat cycle for various food items. The controller retrieves a crisp reheating instruction associated with a food type selected by a user. The controller then commences the crisp reheat cycle by activating heating elements of the cooking appliance, such as a microwave module, an upper heater module, a lower heater module, and a convection module.

System and method for the rapid aging of a distilled ethyl alcohol with RF energy and wood material supporting platform
Provided is a system and method for rapid aging of distilled ethyl alcohol. The system includes a vessel with at least one aperture for introducing RF energy at a preselected frequency to be absorbed by opaque material in a target area; at least one liquid circulating system; and a platform to substantially contain a plurality of units of wood as the opaque material. Each unit of wood has a plurality of capillaries containing at least wood sugar and resin. The system has a wood agitation system to move the wood through the target area. An RF generator provides constant RF energy at the predetermined frequency to induce oscillation of molecules within the wood. The system has an oxygenator to provide oxygen into the liquid mixture and outgas congeners from the liquid, the vessel further providing at least one vent structured and arranged to vent the outgassed congeners.
Cooking appliance with slidable tray
A cooking apparatus includes a main body having a cooking chamber, a coupler having a pair of pressure surfaces and rotatably provided, and a tray provided-to-be withdrawn from the cooking chamber by sliding movement. The tray has a pair of seating projections each capable of being brought into contact with the pair of pressure surfaces and being rotatably pushed by the coupler. Therefore it is possible to easily switch between the rotatable state of the tray and the state of sliding movement of the tray.
Thawing-apparatus and method to thaw a substance
The present invention relates to a thawing-apparatus, in which a substance is preferably heated. The present invention further relates to a method to thaw a substance with radio-frequency waves.
Data collection method and apparatus for radio frequency heating system
A datalogger with a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of one or more articles during a radio frequency (RF) heating process. The datalogger may be wireless and may store temperature measurements in an internal memory and/or may wirelessly transmit temperature data in real-time. The datalogger may be specifically designed and oriented to maximize temperature measurement accuracy and minimize interference with the RF heating process.
MICROWAVE TREATMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBON FIBER
Provided is a microwave treatment apparatus that can properly treat a treatment target using microwaves. The apparatus includes: a vessel 10 in which a treatment target 2 is arranged; a microwave irradiating unit 20 that irradiates an internal portion of the vessel 10 with microwaves; and heat generating member 30 that is provided inside the vessel 10 along the treatment target 2, generates heat by absorbing part of microwaves used for irradiation by the microwave irradiating unit 20, and transmits part of the microwaves. The microwave irradiating unit 20 irradiates a portion in which the heat generating member 30 is provided with microwaves, thereby heating the treatment target 2 from the outside through heat generation at the heat generating member 30, and directly heating the treatment target 2 with microwaves transmitted through the heat generating member 30.

MICROWAVE TREATMENT DEVICE
A microwave treatment device comprises a treatment chamber, in which an object to be treated can be arranged, and a microwave emission device, by which microwave radiation can be radiated into the treatment chamber or emitted therein. The microwave emission device comprises at least one array antenna with a plurality of individual emitters and a microwave control device which can be used to specify an emission characteristic for each individual emitter of the at least one array antenna. A phase and/or amplitude of the microwave emission can be specified for each individual emitter by the microwave control device. A phase and/or an amplitude of the microwave emission can be specified for each individual emitter by the microwave control device. Furthermore, a frequency of the microwave emission can be specified within a frequency range for each individual emitter by the microwave device.
Microwave dryer of a print system with modulation of the microwave source using frequency shift keying
Microwave dryer of a print system with modulation of the microwave source using FSK. In one embodiment, a microwave dryer includes a microwave source coupled with a waveguide. The waveguide transports electromagnetic energy to dry wet colorant applied by a printer to print media. The microwave source provides the electromagnetic energy at an operating frequency. The microwave dryer also includes a processor coupled with an FSK modulator that modulates the operating frequency of the microwave source. The processor determines a modulating signal with a modulating frequency based on a period of time for the print media to traverse the waveguide, and applies binary values that represent the number of frequencies to an input of the FSK modulator to cause the FSK modulator to output the series of discrete frequencies over the period of time to vary intensity positions of the electromagnetic energy across the width of the print media.
