Emergency lighting assembly having heat conducting member
An emergency lighting assembly is provided having a housing with one or more adjustable lamp assemblies for aiming the light at selected areas. The lamp assembly is mounted in the housing by a ball and socket arrangement. The lamp assembly has a substantially spherical shape with a front section made of a heat conducting material and a rear section made of a plastic material. The front section has an opening on a front side having a lens and a base spaced from the front side supporting the light source. The light source in one embodiment is an LED which is coupled to the front section to conduct heat from the LED away from the LED and the housing. The rear section has an opening in the rear side that receives a fixed stop member to limit pivoting movement of the lamp assembly with respect to the housing. The rear section also includes a projection oriented to contact the stop member to limit rotation of the lamp assembly with respect to the housing.

LIGHT DEVICE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, COMPRISING A MATRIX LIGHT SOURCE
The invention relates to a light device for a motor vehicle, comprising a matrix light source having a matrix of elementary light sources with an electroluminescent semiconductor element. Each elementary light source has an emitting surface that is less than or equal to 0.2 mm2. The measures proposed by the invention allow such a matrix light source to be powered without any risk of damage due to overheating of the semiconductive junctions of the elementary light sources that make up the light source.
AUTOMOTIVE LAMP
A lighting circuit turns on multiple semiconductor light sources. Multiple current sources are each coupled in series with a corresponding one from among the semiconductor light sources. A switching converter supplies a driving voltage V.sub.OUT across each of multiple series connection circuits formed of the multiple semiconductor light sources and the multiple current sources. A converter controller controls a switching transistor of the switching converter based on a relation between a voltage across one from among the multiple current sources and a reference voltage having a positive correlation with the temperature T.sub.j.

Voltage Regulator Circuit for LED Luminaire
A voltage-regulating drive circuit for an LED luminaire is disclosed. The drive circuit includes one or several series of LED light engines. A voltage source with a regulator is connected to the series of LED light engines to forward-bias the light engines. The circuit also includes a driver integrated circuit, which may drive the series of LED light engines using, e.g., pulse-width modulation (PWM). The circuit also includes a feedback circuit connected to the cathode end of the series of LED light engines. The feedback circuit receives a remainder voltage and creates a feedback output signal that upregulates or downregulates the regulator of the voltage source to keep a minimum operating voltage on the driver integrated circuit and to compensate for variations in forward voltages among LED light engines in the series.
Configurable lighting system
A luminaire can include a power supply that receives AC mains power from a power source and delivers intermediate power, and can also include a lumen control module coupled to the power supply, where the lumen control module receives the intermediate power from the power source. The lumen control module can include at least one first switch that has multiple positions, and multiple resistors coupled to the at least one first switch, where each position of the at least one first switch corresponds to a resistance of the resistors, where the intermediate power received by the resistors is translated to a current level of a plurality of current levels based on the resistance. The luminaire can also include at least one light source coupled to the lumen control module, where the at least one light source emits a lumen output based on the current level received from the lumen control module.
