In some examples, a device can include a display coupled to a locking mechanism, wherein the locking mechanism applies a first force in a first direction, an enclosure coupled to the display with the locking mechanism, and a spring mechanism coupled to the enclosure and the locking mechanism to prevent a tension level between the display and the enclosure from exceeding a tension threshold, wherein the spring mechanism applies a second force in a second direction.

Hybrid electric vehicle battery cover with electrical disconnect

A battery system includes a battery cover, a battery access panel removably connected to the battery cover, and a service disconnect switch. The service disconnect switch includes an electrical interlock switch. The service disconnect switch has a first position cooperating with the battery access panel to prevent removal of the access panel from the battery cover. In the first position, the service disconnect connects a traction battery to circuitry. The service disconnect also has a second position, the second position being displaced from the access panel and disconnecting the battery.

A circuit board is protected by being enclosed in a security housing that includes conductive tamper traces running along its interior surface, the conductive tamper traces being a housing portion of a tamper detection circuit. The tamper detection circuit also includes a board portion that detect tampering with the tamper detection circuit by monitoring voltages at monitor nodes along the board portion. The board portion of the tamper detection circuit is connected to the tamper traces via multiple connector pieces. The connector pieces can be held in place by board connector piece holders affixed to the board or housing connector piece holders of the housing. When tampering is detected, it can be localized based on voltages measured at multiple recesses along the housing. The tamper detection circuit can be arranged in a wheatstone bridge layout for environmental tolerance. The circuit board's functions/components can be disabled if tampering is detected.

Secure vehicle control unit

The present invention relates to a vehicle control unit that includes a microcontroller unit, a sealing controller unit including a memory for storing a validity state, an electrical connector configured to couple the microcontroller unit to the sealing controller unit, and a housing enclosing the microcontroller unit, the sealing controller unit, and the electrical connector. The microcontroller unit is configured to determine the validity state of the sealing controller unit via the electrical connector, and the sealing controller unit is configured to detect a mechanical change to the housing and to change the validity state when such a mechanical change is detected.

Security bezel for rack mountable server

A security bezel for a server such as a rack mounted server includes a triggered securing mechanism at one end of the security bezel. The securing mechanism includes a trigger that when actuated, causes securing members deploy from the securing mechanism to engage corresponding recesses in the server, thereby attaching the security bezel to the server. The deployed securing members may be locked in position, thereby locking the security bezel to the server. The security bezel may be unlocked, allowing for retraction of the securing members to an undeployed state and detachment of the security bezel from a server.

Systems and apparatus for mounting a wireless access point

A housing includes a mount projection defining a first notch, a second notch, and a recessed wall. At least a portion of the recessed wall defines a substantially conical cross-sectional shape between a maximum width and a length from a leading portion to a line associated with the maximum width. The mount projection is configured to complimentarily mate to a bracket defining a recessed wall with a maximum width, corresponding to the maximum width of the mount projection, and a length, corresponding to the length of the mount projection, from a leading portion to a line associated with the maximum width. The mount projection is releasably retained within an opening of the bracket when a first projection and a second projection of the bracket are disposed within the first notch and the second notch, respectively, of the mount projection.

An electronic device includes a casing, a main circuit board, a detachable component and a flexible circuit board. The main circuit board is disposed in the casing. The main circuit board includes a processor and a memory, wherein the memory stores data. The detachable component is disposed in the casing. The flexible circuit board includes a first end portion, a second end portion, a middle portion and a first detection loop, wherein the first detection loop is disposed at the first end portion and the middle portion. The first end portion is electrically connected to the main circuit board and the second end portion is fixed on the detachable component. When the detachable component is detached from the casing, the middle portion breaks, such that the first detection loop is cut off. When the first detection loop is cut off, the processor erases the data stored in the memory.

Security enclosure

This invention concerns a security enclosure and in particular an outdoor, non-metallic security enclosure for electrical equipment. The enclosure has a body and a cover which is connected to the body using connecting means such that the cover is movable between a first, closed position wherein the security enclosure is closed and a second, open position wherein the security enclosure is open. The cover is lockable in its closed position. Complementary shaped engagement formations carried by the body and cover engage one another so as to create a mechanical seal between the body and cover when the cover is in its closed position. Retaining formations carried by the body and cover respectively are configured to prevent the cover from being removed from the body when the cover is in its closed position. The invention also concerns a security system including a number of security enclosures.

Utility meter enclosure with dual position locks

A utility meter assembly having a base that is secured to a front cover. The assembly includes a dual locking system having a first locking position and a second locking position. In the first locking position, the front cover is removably secured with the base. In the second locking position, the front cover is permanently secured with the base to prevent separation of the two components unless one or both components are destroyed.
