Host electronic device having a movable cooling component for removable electronic device

Example implementations relate to a host electronic device configured for establishing a thermal contact between a heat generating component of a removable electronic device, and a cooling component of the host electronic device, when the removable electronic device is detachably connected to the host electronic device. The host electronic device includes a support structure, the cooling component, a driver, and an actuator. The cooling component is movably connected to the support structure. The driver is also movably connected to the support structure. The actuator is movably connected to the support structure and the driver. The actuator, upon contact by the removable device, causes a movement of the cooling component via the driver for establishing the thermal contact between the cooling component and the heat generating component.

A housing structure includes a first cover and a second cover. The first cover includes a first substrate and two first side plates. The second cover includes a second substrate and two second side plates. The two first side plates and the two second side plates are spliced between the first substrate and the second substrate, such that an accommodating space is formed between the first cover and the second cover.

Modular thermal isolation barrier for data processing equipment structure

A data processing equipment structure includes a plurality of vertical and horizontal frame components, which, together, define an equipment structure frame, and a plurality of panels disposed relative to the equipment structure frame to define a periphery. At least one of the plurality of vertical and horizontal frame components is an extruded strut having a generally uniform cross-section. The extruded strut includes an outwardly-facing channel extending along each of a pair of opposing sides of the extruded strut, at least one of which includes a set of evenly-spaced ridges, extending along each of two sides of the channel, for accommodating a threaded fastener. The extruded strut further includes one or more ledges, each having a depth sufficient to accommodate a thickness of one of the plurality of panels.

TECHNIQUES TO CONTROL SYSTEM UPDATES AND CONFIGURATION CHANGES VIA THE CLOUD

Embodiments are generally directed apparatuses, methods, techniques and so forth determine an access level of operation based on an indication received via one or more network links from a pod management controller, and enable or disable a firmware update capability for a firmware device based on the access level of operation, the firmware update capability to change firmware for the firmware device. Embodiments may also include determining one or more configuration settings of a plurality of configuration settings to enable for configuration based on the access level of operation, and enable configuration of the one or more configuration settings.

Multipurpose chassis front trim piece

Devices, systems, and methods for managing server chassis are disclosed. The server chassis may be managed thermally by controlling a flow of gas through an opening in the server chassis. The server chassis may be managed for security by controlling physical access to various portions of the server chassis, and, for example, to a portion of the server chassis proximate to an opening in the server chassis through which gas flows for thermal management purposes. The server chassis may also be managed electromagnetically by controlling a flow of electromagnetic radiation into and out of the server chassis and, for example, through an opening in the server chassis through which gas flows for thermal management purposes. The server chassis may also be managed structurally by physically reinforcing various portions of the server chassis.

Heat recovery from data center cooling system

A system to create a dehydrating environment from the waste cooling air from a data center including a drying room above the data center. Waste cooling air dries moisture laden product in the drying room and is returned to the data center. Also, a system to distribute waste cooling air from a data center. The system includes a reservoir tank and a local tank for waste cooling air. Both tanks include insulated walls that assist in maintaining a temperature within the reservoir tank. A reservoir tank blower conveys waste cooling air from the data center into the reservoir tank and pressurizes the interior of the reservoir tank. Pressurized waste cooling air from the data center is delivered from the local tank through the blower when a blower valve is opened.

SECURITY PANELS FOR USE IN DATA CENTERS
20220418152 · 2022-12-29 ·

Disclosed is an integrated data center that provides for efficient cooling as well as efficient wire routing. The data center houses electronic equipment stored in clusters of cabinets. The space inside the data center is shared, such as on a leased basis, between multiple different entities who operate their own electronic equipment. To achieve privacy, security, and cooling air flow, one or more layers of a security paneling surround one or more clusters of cabinets to create a secure interior space. This allows access to only authorized personal, prevents people from viewing into the secure interior space, and allows cooling air flow to pass into the secure interior space to cool the electronic equipment. The security paneling comprises sheets of metal with small apertures. Two or more security panels may be arranged with offset apertures to further prevent viewing of the electronic equipment in the secure interior space.
