The component-mounting device delivers the nozzle replacement table between the replacement table holder and the placing table in a state where the feeder carriage is connected to the base.

Sequentially imaging the nozzle ID code display section of each suction nozzle of each column is performed without stopping the mark imaging camera while moving the camera in an arrangement direction of the suction nozzle of each column of the nozzle station. The movement direction of the camera is reversed each time the last imaging operation of one column is completed and the camera is moved to imaging an adjacent column and the nozzle ID code of each suction nozzle of each column read at the image processing is stored in the storage in association with the position of each suction nozzle.

A component mounting device stores a correspondence relationship between identification codes and head types in an HDD. A CPU of the component mounting device reads a two-dimensional bar-code of a head which is stored in a head storage area using a bar-code reader when exchanging a first head which is held in a head holding body of a head unit for a second head which is stored in the head storage area. The CPU looks up the identification code included in the two-dimensional bar-code in the correspondence relationship which is stored in the HDD and recognizes the head type which is stored in the head storage area. Subsequently, the CPU controls the head holding body of the head unit to perform head exchanging operations according to the recognized head type.

Mounter

A mounter capable of curtailing interference between a mounting head that has a component holding section, and an exchange-use component holding section and a storage section that holds the exchange-use component holding section. A controller of the mounter reads head identification information for identifying the mounting head from the mounting head. Also, different quantities of protruding sections are formed on nozzle tray in accordance with the height in the Z-axis direction. Also, pressure switches that are pressed by protruding sections so as to turn on and off are provided on loading plate on which nozzle tray is loaded. By this, the controller is able to determine whether interference will occur between the mounting head and nozzle tray based on the detection signal of the pressure switches before the mounting head is moved.

Setup support device

A setup support device that improves the efficiency of setup of a component mounter by guiding supplying of feeders to a component supply device as preparation for setting of the feeders. The support setup device includes: a preparation cart on which are loaded multiple of the feeders used to perform multiple production jobs; and a feeder identifying section configured to identify multiple of the feeders to be set on a component supply device among the multiple feeders loaded on the preparation cart. The preparation cart includes a guidance section configured to issue guidance all at once for the identified multiple feeders to an operator performing the setup so as to supply the identified multiple feeders to the component supply device as preparation for setting the identified multiple feeders on the component supply device.

Method and system for populating printed circuit boards and computer program product for carrying out the method

Set-up families with associated set-ups are provided for populating printed circuit boards by means of a pick-and-place line. Printed circuit board types are associated with each set-up family and component types are associated with each set-up, such that a printed circuit board of a printed circuit board type in a set-up family is populated on the pick-and-place line by means of components of the component types associated with the set-up. Stocks of components of the component types of a set-up are provided by means of set-up tables on the pick-and-place line. A method for populating the printed circuit boards includes the steps of detecting printed circuit board types of which printed circuit boards are intended to be populated with components of associated component types, of associating detected printed circuit board types with a predetermined number of set-up families, and of optimizing the association operation with respect to a predetermined criterion.
