The first socket substrate conductors are electrically connected to an electronic package, the second socket substrate conductors are electrically connected to an electrical component and the third socket substrate conductors are electrically connected to a host circuit board. The socket assembly is configured to electrically connect the electronic package with both the host circuit board and the electrical component. The socket contacts have a terminating end terminated to corresponding first socket substrate conductors and a mating end mated to package contacts.

An electronic device includes a slot, and a backboard that is disposed on the depth side in the slot and is electrically connected to a printed circuit board inserted in the slot. The electronic device further includes a casing having the slot formed therein, the casing being configured to accommodate therein at least part of the backboard, and a cover member configured to be attachable to and removable from the casing. When attached to the casing, the cover member together with the casing forms the external appearance of the electronic device. The cover member is attached to the backboard integrally.

Method for positioning circuit boards and circuit board arrangement

The present disclosure relates to a method for positioning at least two circuit boards in a housing having a non-conductive surface, a first securement location for securing the first circuit board, and a second securement location for securing the second circuit board, wherein at least one conductive trace is arranged in the housing and is connected non-releasably with the housing, and wherein the conductive trace electrically contacts the first securement location with the second securement location, the method comprising securing the circuit boards in the securement locations of the housing such that the first circuit board is electrically in contact with the first securement location and the second circuit board is electrically in contact with the second securement location, wherein the first circuit board and the second circuit board are electrically in contact with one another via the at least one conductive trace.

Various systems may benefit from suitable arrangements and configurations of modules. For example, certain electronics systems may benefit from systems and methods for stacking electronic modules on a base board. A system of stacking computer modules can include a base board, which can be a printed circuit board (PCB). The system can also include a first plurality of connectors, mounted to and in electrical communication with the base board. The system can further include a first module, the first module including a second PCB and a second plurality of bottom connectors configured to engage the first plurality of connectors and a third plurality of top connectors. The system can additionally include a second module, the second module including a third PCB and a fourth plurality of bottom connectors configured to engage the third plurality of top connectors of the first module.

Control module for a lighting fixture

A control module attached to a lighting fixture and having a front cover portion may comprise one or more sensors, such as a daylight and/or occupancy sensor, for sensing information through the front cover portion. The control module may have a main printed circuit board (PCB) that extends from a front side to a rear side of the control module, and a sensor PCB perpendicular to the main PCB to enable at least one sensor attached to the sensor PCB to face the front side of the control module. The main PCB may comprise a wireless communication circuit and an antenna for communicating radio frequency (RF) signals, wherein at least a portion of the antenna is located within a plastic lip of the front cover portion of the control module. The control module may further have a conductive enclosure to reduce radio-frequency interference noise from coupling into the antenna.

An illumination dummy module is adapted for covering and protecting a card slot and includes a circuit board, a power pin, a clock pin, a data pin, at least one light source, a power converter, and a drive circuit. The circuit board includes an insertion part for inserting into the card slot. The power pin, the clock pin and the data pin are disposed to the insertion part, and the light source is disposed on the circuit board. The power converter receives input power from the card slot via the power pin, and converts the input power into output power. The drive circuit is disposed on the circuit board, and receives the output power from the power converter. The drive circuit also respectively receives a clock signal and a control command via the clock pin and the data pin, to enable or disable the light source.

Embodiments herein relate to a Printed Circuit Board, PCB, (1) and a terminal (2) for connecting the PCB (1) to an electrical component. The PCB (1) comprises a through-hole (11) for receiving the terminal (2). The through-hole (11) has a partially open side wall (12), wherein the side wall (12) is open along at least a part of a length (L) of the 5 through-hole (11) perpendicular to a radius (R) of the through-hole (11). This allows the terminal (2) to protrude through the open side wall (12) when received by the through-hole (11), such that a position of the terminal (2) is adjustable along the length of the open side wall (12). The terminal (2) comprises a base (21), adapted to be received by the through-hole (11) of the PCB (1) and to create a press fit with the side wall (12) of the through-hole 10 (11), and a pin (22) projecting from a surface (23) of the base (21). The pin (22) is adapted to protrude through the open side wall (12), when the base (21) is inserted into the through-hole (11) of the PCB (1). Furthermore, embodiments herein relate to a method for assembling a PCB module (120) comprising the terminal (2) and the PCB (1).
