CASTLESS STANCE CORRECTED PROSTETIC & METHOD OF FORMING SAME
A method of forming a castless orthotic for a patient's foot in need thereof. The method comprises preparing an orthotic template for the foot wherein the template extends between a heel end and a toe end. In preparing the template the steps of attaching a three-quarter length or full length upper thermoplastic material to a or three-quarter length lower thermoplastic material, or providing a thermoplastic material having a variable thickness such that said thickness decreases from said heel end to said toe end is provided. Then attaching an outer lower layer to the lower thermoplastic material and attaching an outer upper layer to the upper thermoplastic material, or attaching an outer layer to each face of the variable thickness thermoplastic material and heating the prepared orthotic template for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined temperature to soften the orthotic template. A wrap is then placed on top of the foot foam and the foot of the patient is placed on top of the wrap and foot foam. The patient's foot is lifted and the heated orthotic template is placed on top of the the wrap and then placing the patient's foot on top of the heated orthotic template. The wrap is placed about the longitudinal axis of the foot to retain the heated orthotic template intermediate the sole of the foot and the foot foam whereby the sides of the orthotic template are particularly supported by the wrap. The method further includes ensuring the foot is positioned over a cuboid support and a medial longitudinal arch support wherein the cuboid support is disposed on the outside of the bottom of the foot and the cuboid support is moved to push the foot upwardly until a resistance is felt, and where the foot is also positioned over the medial longitudinal arch support which is then pushed and pulled upwardly until the foot is moved into a neutral position or if it is unable to be translated or rotated due to until it reaches its end range of motion. At this time, the heel of the patient's foot is lifted to place their weight substantially on the front of their foot and a coolant is applied to at least the heel end of the orthotic template.
Odor-Eliminating Insole
An odor-eliminating insole increases comfort, eliminates odor, and reduces moisture. The odor-eliminating insole comprises a quantity of odor-eliminating material, a quantity of desiccant, an ergonomic shoe insert, and a decorative cover. The quantity of odor-eliminating material neutralizes odor. The quantity of desiccant reduces moisture. The ergonomic shoe insert houses the quantity of odor-eliminating material and the quantity of desiccant. Additionally, the ergonomic increases comfort when wearing footwear. The decorative cover adds an aesthetic aspect to the odor-eliminating insole.
Antiviral Antimicrobial Article
An article used in a fitness activity such as the practice of yoga that may be exposed to a corona virus, such as COVID-19, the article including a substrate having at least one contact surface, wherein the substrate includes an antiviral material in an effective amount to reduce the life span of the virus, wherein the antiviral material is at least partially exposed on the contact surface of the substrate.
Hybrid insole with multi-shock absorbing pad and method for fabricating thereof
Provided are a hybrid insole with a multi-shock absorbing pad and a method for fabricating the hybrid insole. The hybrid insole includes an insole body including at least one sheet layer that is formed of an elastic material and has a shape of a human sole; a first absorbing pad means including first to fourth absorbing pad portions attached to the insole body corresponding to a metatarsal region, a tarsal bone region, and a calcaneus region of the human foot, and first to third connecting portions selectively connecting the first to fourth absorbing pad portions; and a second absorbing pad means including a fifth absorbing pad portion attached to the insole body corresponding to the metatarsal region and a phalange region of the human foot.
The hybrid insole is configured such that absorbing pads of different structures are disposed to correspond to the bone structure for each region of the foot and the shape of an arch, thus distributing and absorbing the weight load of the human body.
FITTING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CUSTOMIZABLE FOOTWEAR
Disclosed embodiments relate to a footwear system. The footwear system includes a shoe, a first insole, and a second insole. The first insole is a fitting insole having a first volume. It is positioned within the shoe during a fitting of a potential wearer of the shoe. The fitting insole is removed after the fitting is completed. The second insole has a volume substantially similar to the first volume. The second insole adapted for positioning within the shoe if the first insole demonstrates an appropriate fit. The second insole is self-customizable and further adapted to conform to the imprint of the sole of the potential wearer.
Articles of manufacture releasing an active ingredient
The present invention relates to articles of manufacture having a formulation distributed therein, wherein the formulation comprises an active agent which manifests a desirable property when released from the articles of manufacture. The present invention also relates to methods for manufacturing these articles of manufacture, to vehicles for applying the formulation to these articles of manufacture, and to perception indicators indicating the presence and the amount of formulation comprising an active agent applied to an article of manufacture.
Customization of inner sole board
An inner sole board having varying regions of flexibility is provided for use in an article of footwear. The inner sole board may include different materials along its length at different locations that vary its flexibility. An inner sole board is manufactured in an injection molding process requiring only one mold. The process includes a first step of providing a mold, a second step of providing an injection molding assembly, a third step of preparing an injection molding assembly and mold, a fourth step of injecting material into the mold, and a fifth step of establishing the dimensions of a first portion. During the injection molding process, the flow rate of at least one material may be controlled by a nozzle gate to control the shape and size of the flex zone it creates. In this manner, the inner sole board may be customized for a specific sport or individual.
RESILIN MATERIAL FOOTWEAR AND FABRICATION METHODS
A method for making an article of footwear includes placing a purified recombinant resilin composition in a mold with a cross-linking solution, incubating the recombinant resilin composition in the cross-linking solution to generate a solid resilin material, fabricating a cushioning element of the article of footwear including at least a portion of the solid resilin material, and assembling the cushioning element insole with at least an upper of the article of footwear.
