The invention concerns a gaming device (1) to throw and catch a ball or a shuttlecock comprising a basket (20) structured around two rigid walls (21, 23) and elastic means (22, 24) for throwing the ball or the shuttlecock with a certain velocity by stretching the gaming device (1), while making it easier to catch the projectile in the structured basket (20) when the gaming device (1) is in resting position.

Shuttlecock launching apparatus

A shuttlecock loading mechanism with a grabbing mechanism and a pair of ejecting wheels defining a wheel plane. The grabbing mechanism receives a shuttlecock entering the loading mechanism in a vertical position and ejects the shuttlecock from the loading mechanism in an orientation parallel to the wheel plane wherein the pitch of the wheel plane about a wheel horizontal axis is selectively indexed about the wheel's horizontal axis.

An improved shuttlecock for playing a game involving hitting the shuttlecock back-and-forth between players includes a base having a number of stems, each stem extending outwardly from a central axis of the improved shuttlecock by a non-zero angle (e.g., from 2 to 30 degrees). Each stem has a receptor. The base has a cylindrical surface at an end distal from the plurality of stems and an indentation between the cylindrical surface and the plurality of stems. A nose has a striking end and a lip that is distal from the striking end. The nose is connected to the base over the cylindrical surface such that the lip rests in the indentation of the base. Several feathers are included (equal number as the number of stems), each has a quill end. The quill end of each feather is inserted into and affixed within a corresponding one of the receptors.

Shuttlecock and artificial feather thereof

A plurality of artificial feathers connects to a plurality of stems and a base portion to form a shuttlecock. Each of the artificial feathers includes a connecting portion and a resistance portion. The connecting portion connects to one of the stems. The resistance portion connects to the connecting portion, and the resistance portion includes a plurality of low-wind-resistance areas and a high-wind-resistance area. The low-wind-resistance areas are surrounded by the high-wind-resistance area.
