Golf training device and method of using the same
A golf training device and method of using the same for improving the aim and accuracy of a golfer's putting stroke may be provided. The golf training device may include a plurality of panels coupled together in an accordionlike manner to form a putting tunnel. Each panel may have a main body with visual indicium disposed on a front-facing surface thereof to indicate a line of putt. The golf training device may be extended along a proper trajectory of a golf ball for putting the golf ball toward an intended target. Orienting the golfer's putting stance so that the visual indicium of each panel appears to form a continuous straight line may ensure the golfer's eyes are directly over the intended line of the putt.
GOLF SWING TRAINING DEVICE
A golf swing training device comprises an upwardly extending support to be positioned on the ground in front of a golfer; a visual guide mounted on the support; the visual guide including a golf-ball viewing window through which a golf-ball is viewed by the golfer. The size of the viewing window may be adjustable.
CENTERLINE FACE-FORWARD METHOD OF PUTTING
A method for a golfer to putt a golf ball over the surface of a green toward a hole comprises selecting a target line on the green, assuming a stance next to the ball facing the hole, addressing the ball by gripping the shaft of a putter and positioning it behind the ball with the hands generally facing toward one another in front of and facing the golfer's body, executing a backstroke by drawing the hands toward the body's vertical centerline to swing the arms rearwardly about an axis of rotation through the shoulders to take the putter head away from the ball along a rearward extension of the target line, and transitioning to and executing a forward stroke by moving the hands in a forward direction away from the golfer's body to swing the arms about the axis of rotation to stroke the putter head to strike the ball for rolling it along the target line.
Golf training aid
A golf training aid comprising a base, a support arm, and an alignment rod or guide, wherein the base is positioned in front of the target golf ball when the golfer is in position behind the target golf ball. The arm is attached to the base and is normal to the direction of the stroke or swing, wherein the alignment rod or guide is held by the support arm directly above the target golf ball as viewed by the golfer. The system may further comprise an adjustable, telescoping, stationary, or detachable pole with a camera mount and/or camera attached to the pole top and may comprise a camera mount under the base.
Putter-type golf club head
A putter-type golf club head is disclosed. When oriented in a reference position, the putter-type golf club head comprises a blade member and a central elongate member in communication with, and extending rearwardly from, the blade member. The blade member extends in a heel-to-toe direction and has a striking wall defining a substantially planar striking surface, and an upper surface of the central elongate member comprises at least one generally square-shaped alignment element.
Golf putting sight
The golf putting sight includes a groove support, a first hinge; and a flat plate support. One side of the groove support is rotatably connected to the flat plate support through the first hinge. A first side of the flat plate support is rotatably connected to a base through a second hinge. A mirror plate is mounted in the groove support. Across-shaped aiming line is arranged on one side of the mirror plate. One side of the flat plate support defines a calibrating hole. A correcting line is on an upper surface of the base. When in use, through the first hinge and the second hinge, the groove support, the flat plate support, and the base are convenient to form a triangular shape. The mirror plate is aligned with a hole or a target, and a aiming line on a golf ball is aligned with the cross-shaped aiming line.
Putter alignment guide bar
A putting alignment apparatus comprises a vertical portion and a horizontal portion that may exist separately as an alignment device, or integrated within the putter itself. The vertical portion of the alignment apparatus is configured to be attached to the club head and sized to extend vertically above the height of a golf ball. The horizontal portion is coupled to an upper end of the vertical portion and sized to extend forwardly of the striking face when the putting alignment apparatus is attached to the club head. An alignment structure or aperture such as a linear edge or slot is formed in the horizontal portion forwardly of the striking face, wherein a mark placed on the golf ball may be aligned with the structure or within the aperture to facilitate alignment of the golf club with the golf ball in a direction of intended movement. A golf club including such an alignment structure has the shaft coupled directly to the alignment device.
PUTING PRACTICE DEVICE AND METHOD
A versatile putting practice device trains a golfer to keep the putter low and to give a good roll to a golf ball by automatically keeping the golfer's head still and down and so that the golfer isn't flipping his/her hands through impact. The device includes an upright post, an impact projection connected to the top of the upright post and extending outwardly from it in a first dimension; and a support base connected to the bottom of the upright post and extending outwardly from it in a second dimension. The support base includes an elongated linear element that in use sights along a target line. Methods of practicing putting using the device are expected to improve putting accuracy.
Golf club training aid and golf club
A user swings a putter head (154) that is connected to a putter shaft (156) about a pivot of a pendulum (24). The putter head includes an opening (190) and a lower marker (186) located beneath the opening and spaced from the opening. The user attempts to maintain the marker within the opening (190) when swinging the club.
