Compositions including a vegetable- or animal-derived oil, such as fatty acid alkyl esters, are stabilized against oxidation using an oxygenated aminophenol antioxidant. The aminophenol includes one or two carbon-containing group(s) including a hydroxyl group and/or ether group separated from the N atom by one or more carbon atoms. The oxygenated aminophenol antioxidants effective at controlling oxidation at moderate and even low amounts, useful in a variety of different oil and methyl ester fatty acid preparations, and were effective at elevated temperatures, and performed significantly better than convention antioxidants.

This invention relates generally to a thermoplastic compositions and, more particularly, to compositions comprising a polymer matrix and comprising a filler composition. To that end, according to the aspects of the invention, a thermoplastic composition is disclosed that generally comprises a polymer matrix and at least one filler composition. The polymer matrix generally comprises at least one polycarbonate or polyamide. The filler composition generally comprises at least one laser direct structuring additive with a mean particle size of less than 1 m and may additionally optionally comprise flame retardants, stabilizers and process aids.

An insulated wire including: a linear conductor; and an insulating layer that covers an outer peripheral surface of the conductor, wherein the insulating layer contains, as residual solvents, a first solvent having a relative permittivity of 15 or more and a second solvent having a relative permittivity of less than 15, a first ratio that is a ratio of a content of the second solvent to a total content of the first solvent and the second solvent contained in the insulating layer is 50% by mass or more, and a second ratio that is a ratio of the content of the second solvent to the total content of the first solvent and the second solvent contained in the insulating layer after a heating treatment of heating the insulated wire at 350? C. for 1 minute is higher than the first ratio.
