The wire harness includes a plurality of spliced and sheathed electric wires and a conductive shielding member. Each of the spliced and sheathed electric wires has a spliced core wire and an insulating sheath that covers the spliced core wire. The spliced core wire includes a first core wire that is a single conductive wire, and a second core wire that is a bundle of a plurality of conductive wires that are thinner and shorter than the first core wire, the second core wire being connected to an end portion of the first core wire. The shielding member is formed in a flexible tubular shape, and collectively covers the plurality of spliced and sheathed electric wires.

A mounting cable includes: a coaxial cable including: a core wire made of a conductive material; an internal insulator covering an outer periphery of the core wire; a shield covering an outer periphery of the internal insulator; and a jacket covering an outer periphery of the shield with an insulator, the coaxial cable having one end portion on which the core wire, the internal insulator and the shield are exposed; a cable fixing unit that fixes one end portion of the exposed core wire and has a connection surface on which an end face of the core wire is exposed; and a conductor having one end electrically and mechanically connected to the exposed shield and having the other end fixed to the cable fixing unit. An end portion of the conductor is exposed on the connection surface of the cable fixing unit.

Grounded cable assembly of a communication system

A cable assembly includes a grommet, a cable, and a ferrule. The grommet has a cylindrical sleeve defining a cable channel therethrough and a flange extending radially outward from the cylindrical sleeve. The cable includes one or more insulated wires, a cable shield surrounding the one or more insulated wires, and an outer jacket surrounding the cable shield. The cable extends through the cable channel of the grommet. The cable shield and the one or more insulated wires protrude from an end of the outer jacket. The cable shield has an overlap portion extending around the end of the outer jacket and surrounding and engaging the cylindrical sleeve of the grommet to electrically connect the cable shield to the grommet. The ferrule surrounds and engages the overlap portion of the cable shield to secure the overlap portion to the cylindrical sleeve of the grommet.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL CABLE, AND RESULTING PRODUCT, WITH REDUCED REQUIRED INSTALLATION PULLING FORCE

Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.

LASER-MARKABLE CABLES AND SYSTEMS FOR MAKING THE SAME

Laser-markable cable layers for a cable are provided. The laser-markable cable layers include an inner layer formed of a first polymer material and an outer layer formed of a second polymer material and a laser-marking compound. The outer layer is about 0.5% to about 50% of the thickness of the inner layer. The laser-markable cable layers surround a wire or cable core. Methods of marking a cable having laser-markable cable layers are also provided.

Insulated conductor and insulated conductor manufacturing method

An insulated conductor having a conductor and an insulating film provided on a surface of the conductor, in which the insulating film has a fluorine-containing resin composition layer including a cured product of a thermosetting resin and a fluororesin and a fluorine concentration gradient layer which is disposed between the conductor and the fluorine-containing resin composition layer. The fluorine-containing resin composition layer includes a cured product of a thermosetting resin and a fluororesin, and is provided with a concentration gradient in which a fluorine atom content decreases from the fluorine-containing resin composition layer side toward the conductor.

A multicore cable includes a plurality of sheathed wires, and a second cover layer covering an outer periphery of the plurality of sheathed wires, wherein the sheathed wire includes a conductor, and a first cover layer covering the conductor, the first cover layer is a crosslinked fluoroelastomer or a crosslinked fluororesin, and the second cover layer is a crosslinked fluoroelastomer.

CABLE AND HARNESS

A cable includes a plurality of electric wires, a tape member wound around the plurality of electric wires, and a jacket that covers an outer periphery of the tape member and includes an urethane-based resin. The tape member includes a nonwoven fabric including one of a polyester, a polypropylene, an aramid fiber, a nylon, an acrylic fiber and a glass fiber. An air permeability of the nonwoven fabric is not less than 30 cc/cm.sup.2/sec.

SHIELD WIRE
20170231125 · 2017-08-10 ·

A shield wire is formed of eight twisted insulated core wires 1, an inclusion 2 between these respective insulated core wires 1, a tape 3 laterally wound around an outer periphery of a core formed of the insulated core wires and inclusion, a drain wire 4 disposed on an outer surface of the tape, a conductive fiber braided body 5 formed on an outer peripheral surface of the tape so as to interpose the drain wire, a sheath 6 that forms an outer peripheral surface of the braided body, and an adhesive layer 7 between the braided body and sheath. A braided body 5′ is adhesively integrated to the sheath 6′ by an adhesive layer; thus, the braided body 5′ is stripped with the sheath. This eliminates a need for a removal work of the braided body after stripping the sheath, thus ensuring good workability of the terminal processing.
