MULTI-CORE CABLE
A multi-core cable includes a heat detection line including a twisted pair wire composed of a pair of heat detecting wires being twisted together, each of which includes a first conductor and a first insulator covering a periphery of the first conductor, a plurality of electric wires spirally twisted around the heat detection line, each of which includes a second conductor and a second insulator covering a periphery of the second conductor, and a sheath covering the heat detection line and the plurality of electric wires together. A melting point of the first insulator is lower than a melting point of the second insulator. The second conductor has a shape in a cross-section perpendicular to a cable longitudinal direction in which a width along a circumferential direction is gradually increased from a radially inward portion to a radially outward portion.
Assembled wire, method of manufacturing assembled wire and segment coil
An assembled wire has a substantially rectangular cross section, and is formed by assembling a plurality of strands. Each strand has a conductor portion and a strand insulating layer covering the conductor portion. At least a part of the assembled plurality of strands in the longitudinal direction is covered with an outer insulating layer. The strand is formed as follows. First, the strand insulating layer is coated on the outer periphery of the conductor portion. A large number of voids are formed in a resin constituting the strand insulating layer. From this state, the strand is formed, for example, by collapsing the strand insulating layer by heating and pressurizing. At this time, it is possible to uniformly collapse the strand insulating layer by crushing the internal voids. Therefore, the voids in the strand are crushed and flattened in the thickness direction of the strand insulating layer over the entire periphery.
Electric wire conductor, covered electric wire, and wiring harness
An electric wire conductor capable of achieving both flexibility and a space-saving property, a covered electric wire and a wiring harness including such an electric wire conductor. The electric wire conductor contains a wire strand containing a plurality of elemental wires twisted together, and has a flat portion where a cross-section intersecting an axial direction of the wire strand has a flat shape. A covered electric wire contains the electric wire conductors and an insulator covering the electric wire conductors. A wiring harness contains such covered electric wires.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL CABLE, AND RESULTING PRODUCT, WITH REDUCED REQUIRED INSTALLATION PULLING FORCE
Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.
High-temperature and flame-resistant colored adhesive tape, use of a substrate for its manufacture, and cable harness including such an adhesive tape
A colored adhesive tape (1), in particular a yellow, orange-colored, or black adhesive tape (1), preferably a cable wrapping tape, with a temperature class of at least T3 (LV 312), including a textile substrate with a polymer plastic substrate (4, 4a, 4b), on which an adhesive material (5, 5a, 5b) is applied. In order to improve the temperature stability of the tape, while maintaining advantageous properties, the color of at least a part of the substrate (4, 4a, 4b) is formed by the inherent color of the polymer plastic material. The tape is preferably substrate formed of a polymer plastic materials which are aromatic, nitrogen-containing polymers from the group of polyoxadiazoles (POD), polybenzobisoxazoles (PBO) or polybenzimidazoles (PBI) (4, 4a, 4b). The adhesive tape (1) may be used as a cable harness (3).
FLUOROPOLYMER INSULATED COMMUNICATIONS CABLE
A communications cable is provided that includes a pair of twisted pair of wires, each coated with a fluoropolymer insulator. The twisted pair of wires is configured to carry a differential signal, such as a differential data signal and/or a differential power signal. The fluoropolymers are highly effective insulators and significantly reduce both the effects of internal and external electromagnetic interference while maintaining low cable attenuation, even when operating within a temperature range of-40° C. to 150° C.

Electrical cable
An electrical cable includes a conductor assembly having a first conductor, a second conductor and an insulator surrounding the first conductor and the second conductor. The insulator has an outer surface and extends along a longitudinal axis for a length of the electrical cable. The conductor assembly has a coating layer on the outer surface of the insulator being conductive defining an inner electrical shield of the electrical cable. A cable shield is wrapped around the conductor assembly and has an inner edge and an outer edge. The outer edge is wrapped over the inner edge to form a flap covering the inner edge and extending along the longitudinal axis. The cable shield engages the inner electrical shield and forms an outer electrical shield exterior of the inner electrical shield.
