The magnetic field generator comprises a permanent magnet attached to one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode.
Magnet structure, rotational angle detector, and electric power steering device
A magnet structure is a magnet structure for a TMR element which is an MR element. The magnet structure includes a bonded magnet compact that has a first main surface facing the TMR element, and a second main surface on a side opposite to the first main surface; and a tubular member that supports the bonded magnet compact. The bonded magnet compact has a gate portion which is provided on the second main surface and includes a gate mark formed by performing injection molding. The gate portion is provided at a position overlapping a center on the second main surface when seen from the second main surface side.
Magnetic sensor with an asymmetric wheatstone bridge
Magnetic sensors, sensor modules, and methods thereof are provided. A magnetic sensor includes a sensor arrangement including a plurality of magnetic field sensor elements electrically arranged in an asymmetrical bridge circuit, where a first total resistance of a first pair of sensor elements provided on a first side of the asymmetrical bridge circuit is different from a second total resistance of a second pair of sensor elements provided on a second side of the asymmetrical bridge circuit, and the asymmetrical bridge circuit is configured to generate a differential signal based on sensor signals generated by the plurality of magnetic field sensor elements in response to a magnetic field impinging thereon.
Elastic encoder and manufacturing method thereof
Disclosed herein are an elastic encoder and manufacturing method thereof. The elastic encoder of the present invention includes a reinforcing rim which has a reinforcing body and a reinforcing flange formed along a peripheral part of the reinforcing body and which is manufactured using a metallic material; and a plastic magnet which is bound to the reinforcing flange so as to surround the reinforcing flange, includes synthetic resin, rubber material, and magnetic powder, and has a plurality of magnetic poles magnetized in a circumferential direction.
Magnetic potential energy barrier
Theoretical and practical constraints disallow direct determination of the structure of the atomic nucleus. Contained herein is a magnet model of the atomic nucleus, derived from considerations of charge density, RMS charge radii, magnetic moments, and nucleon binding energy. These physical properties point to a sequential, alternating up and down quark structure modeled in the present invention by an array of magnets alternating in polarity. The summation of the pull forces of the two magnet poles is unequal, and when two such magnet arrays are placed opposite one another in magnetic potential energy barrier assembly, the two arrays repel at a distance and attract when near one another. In one embodiment, the ratio of the maximum attractive force to the maximum repulsive force very closely approximates the strong force constant 137. This invention serves as a demonstration of the Coulomb barrier for the student, and a potentially useful model for probing the forces and structure of the atomic nucleus.
THERAPEUTIC MAGNET APPARATUS
A reconfigurable magnetic therapy apparatus is formed by multiple magnetic components which are maintained in a stable planar array by either mutual magnetic attraction or mechanical fixtures which may include a ferromagnetic backing plate to which the elements are magnetically attached. The array can be separated and reconfigured by the user to provide different magnetic patterns that favor either high surface strength, or deep penetration, or multiple smaller sub arrays to treat multiple sites.
Magnetic sensor including a plurality of magnetic detection elements and a plurality of magnetic field generators
A magnetic sensor includes a plurality of magnetic detection elements, and a plurality of magnetic field generators associated with the plurality of magnetic detection elements. Each of the plurality of magnetic field generators includes a first ferromagnetic material section and a first antiferromagnetic material section. The first antiferromagnetic material section is in contact with and exchange-coupled to the first ferromagnetic material section. The first ferromagnetic material section has an overall magnetization. The plurality of magnetic field generators includes first and second magnetic field generators configured so that the overall magnetization of the first ferromagnetic material section of the first magnetic field generator is in a different direction from the overall magnetization of the first ferromagnetic material section of the second magnetic field generator.
MAGNETIC CHIP DETECTOR AND METHOD OF USE
A gas turbine engine can have a magnetic chip detector system with a first conductor member and a second conductor member both exposed to a lubricant flow path of the gas turbine engine, at least a first one of the conductor members including an electromagnet including a coil wrapped around a ferromagnetic core. As part of an engine shutdown procedure, an intrinsic magnetic field strength within the ferromagnetic core can be increased by circulating electrical current in the coil, and the electrical current circulation can then be interrupted for the magnetic field to remain active during engine shutdown.
Apparatus for generating a magnetic field and method of using said apparatus
An apparatus for generating a magnetic field including permanent magnets arranged in a plane, each magnet being spatially separated along the plane from the adjacent magnet by a predetermined spacing, each magnet having a magnetic polarity opposed to the polarity of the adjacent magnet such that a magnetic field of adjacent magnets is oriented substantially perpendicular to the plane and in opposite directions, each magnet being spatially separated in the plane from the adjacent magnet by a nonmagnetic material. A method for programming a magnetic device or sensor device using the apparatus is also described.
