Method and apparatus for simulated golf
A system for simulating a golf game is provided. The system includes a simulator containing a golf ball launch area and a display, a computer coupled to the simulator, and a motion monitor coupled to the computer and configured to track exercise activity of the user. The computer is configured to compute a trajectory of a simulated golf ball on a simulated golf course, compute a distance to a simulated golf ball landing position on the simulated golf course, display the computed distance to the simulated golf ball landing position on the display, simulate moving through the simulated golf course based at least in part on the exercise activity of the user, and update the computed distance to the simulated golf ball landing position based at least in part on the exercise activity of the user. Additional systems and methods are provided.
SMART SHOOTING SYSTEM BASED ON IMAGE SUBTRACTION AND KNOWLEDGE-BASED ANALYSIS ENGINE AND METHOD THEREFOR
A target shooting tracking system has a first camera taking and recording images. An image processor receiving the images. The image processor performing image subtraction on the images to identified a latest marking on a target.
Smart golf bag system
Provided is a smart golf bag system. The system includes a computing device coupled to a bag and a server coupled to the computing device. The system may include a sensor system coupled to the bag, wherein the sensor system communicates with the computing device. The system tracks golfer data, such as distance hit with each club used in a round of golf, the weather, time of day and the like. The data is stored and aggregated in the server and may be analyzed to suggest clubs based on the distance to the hole, etc.
SONIC GENERATOR FOR USE WITH A TIMING AND DATA COLLECTION SYSTEM FOR A LIVE SPORTING EVENT
A sonic generator for use with timing and data collection systems is a button activated device operated by a referee during a live sporting event. It can be hand-held or integrated with a referee's belt pack and replaces a conventional exhalation-powered whistle. It can be configured to record and replay a custom sonic signal, a sonic signal selected from a database of pre-recorded sounds, or a standard sonic signal such as a generic whistle sound. Each sonic generator generates a unique sonic signal which is compared to digitally stored sonic fingerprints at a given sporting event to identify a match, and starts or stops the game clock in response to that match. This prevents inadvertent game clock starts and stops resulting from ambient noise. The sonic generator can be configured as a two-way voice communication system to allow referees to communicate with other game officials.
POSITION RECKONING SYSTEM UTILIZING A SPORTS BALL
A sports ball and player position reckoning system, comprising instrumentation in either a sports ball on on a player's person that allows one or more players to be electronically located on a playing field or court each time a goal attempt is made. The instrumentation is configured to either fit through the opening of an inflation port of the ball when the fill valve is removed or attached to a player or a piece of player's clothing. The system works in conjunction with a performance monitor system that detects ball interactions with a goal and is used to trigger the system to analyze the ball flight path just prior to the goal interaction. Player position is ascertained through the localization of the initial position of the player at the start of a ball's flight path.
Method and system for the continuous ranking of competitors during a race of a slalom skiing sports discipline
A method for the continuous ranking of a competitor during a race of a slalom skiing type sports discipline includes the following iterative steps: a step of measuring the variation in the lateral angle of the gliding board about a predefined axis, a step of detecting the moment when the angle passes through a predefined value, a step of recording the competitor's run time corresponding to the detected moment, a step of comparing the stored run time with those of the preceding competitors for the corresponding detected moment, and a step of ranking the competitor with respect to the preceding competitors as a function of the run time of each competitor. A ranking system implements the method.
Skill-customized basketball gaming
A basketball gaming system may comprise at least one basketball hoop and at least one goal placement analyzer configured to adjust at least one position parameter of one or more of the at least one basketball hoops according to at least one user parameter associated with at least one user. The basketball gaming system may further comprise at least one hoop placement system configured to position the at least one basketball hoop according to the at least one position parameter. The at least one position parameter may comprise at least one x-axis coordinate, at least one y-axis coordinate, and at least one z-axis coordinate. The basketball gaming system may further comprise at least one hoop switching mechanism configured to select one or more of the at least one basketball hoops. At least one position parameter of the selected one or more basketball hoops is associated with an active status.
Autonomous Tracking and Personalized Golf Recommendation and Analysis Environment
Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems, methods, and computer-readable media configured to autonomously track a round of golf and/or autonomously generate personalized recommendations for a user before, during, or after a round of golf. The systems and methods can utilize course data, environmental data, user data, and/or equipment data in conjunctions with one or more machine learning algorithms to autonomously generate the personalized recommendations.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING CHILDREN IN LEARNING AND IMPROVING UPON AIM IN BASKETBALL AND OTHER SPORTS ACTIVITIES
A system and method are disclosed for assisting children in learning and improving upon aim in basketball and other sports. The system is adapted for use with a basketball rim secured to a post or a mount, the basketball rim having a recessed portion. The system includes a retainer ring for insertion within or securing to the recess in the basketball rim; and one or more targets secured to the retainer ring, each target comprising a head portion connected to a stem. The target may be a traditional bullseye, a cartoon character, a letter, a number, among many other examples. In use, a child aims for the target, which is positioned just above the basketball rim, as opposed to the rim itself. In so doing, the child positions the basketball for a successful basket and not a rebound off the rim. The system also is configurable for other youth sports, including soccer and baseball as examples.
System and user interface for officiating and spectating flag football
Disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for officiating, spectating, and scorekeeping for flag football games using one or more wirelessly interconnected electronic devices. In some embodiments, a plurality of graphical user interfaces are provided on a mobile electronic device, the interfaces allowing game officials to create games that are visible to spectators, players, coaches, and statisticians/scorekeepers on a shared geographic map. After spectators, players, coaches, and/or statisticians/scorekeepers join a game, an official inputs information regarding timing and scorekeeping of the game to an interface of a mobile device carried by the official, and the inputted information is broadcasted from the official's device to mobile devices of spectators, players, and coaches, where it is displayed in real-time on graphical user interfaces of the receiving devices. The interfaces may facilitate real-time synchronization of a play-clock and/or go-clock amongst officials, spectators, players, coaches, and/or statisticians/scorekeepers.
