An embedded magnetic component transformer device includes primary, secondary, and auxiliary windings that are defined by conductive vias connected by conductive traces. The conductive traces and vias of the auxiliary winding are arranged between the conductive traces and vias of respective first and second portions of the primary winding, so that the auxiliary winding is provided substantially in the center of the width of the PCB. Power connections are provided at respective opposing edges of the device, and surface mounted transistors are provided close to the primary winding portions between the auxiliary winding and the edge of the device. The device provides an efficient utilization of the surface conductive traces such that large areas of the surface remain for other functions, such as ground plates. The thermal properties of the device are balanced by distributing the transistors and the power connections.

Coupled inductor and power supply module

Provided are a coupled inductor and a power module including the coupled inductor. A coupled inductor includes: a magnetic core, a first winding and a second winding, where a first passage is formed in the magnetic core; a part of the first winding and a part of the second winding pass through the first passage, and the first winding crosses with the second winding outside the first passage. Another coupled inductor includes: a magnetic core, a first winding and a second winding, where the magnetic core has a first passage and a second passage in parallel, both run through the magnetic core from one end face thereof to another opposite end face, where the first winding and the second winding both penetrate the first passage and the second passage, such that differently-named terminals of the windings are located on the same end face of the magnetic core.

COIL COMPONENT

A coil component includes a core having first and second flange portions, and a top plate. Convex first and second spacer portions are in a lower main surface of the top plate that faces the first and second flange portions and are in contact with top surfaces of the first and second flange portions to form gaps between the top surfaces of the flange portions and the lower main surface of the top plate. A stage portion is in a region of the lower main surface of the top plate that faces the winding core portion of the core, and the first and second spacer portions are connected to each other via the stage portion. The spacer portions and the stage portion form a convex portion having a relatively large area to prevent the spacer portions from being scraped and damaged in a polishing process for deburring or chamfering.
