A reactor including: a coil including a pair of winding portions that are arranged side by side; a magnetic core including inner core portions that are provided inside the winding portions, and an outer core portion that is exposed to the outside from the winding portions; and a casing that houses a combined member that includes the coil and the magnetic core combined with each other. The casing includes: a bottom plate on which the combined member is placed; and a side wall that stands on the bottom plate, and the side wall is provided with a cutout for the core, through which at least a portion of the outer core portion is exposed to the outside of the casing.

A coil component includes a body having one surface and the other surface facing each other; an insulating substrate embedded in the body, and having one surface substantially perpendicular to the one surface of the body; a coil portion disposed on the one surface of the insulating substrate, and including a coil pattern layer having a coil pattern and a lead-out pattern extending from the coil pattern and exposed from the one surface of the body; an insulating layer disposed on the one surface of the insulating substrate to cover the coil pattern layer; and first and second external electrodes arranged to be spaced apart from each other on the one surface of the body and respectively connected to the lead-out pattern. A thickness of the lead-out pattern is greater than a thickness of the coil pattern, and less than a thickness of the insulating layer.

A coil component includes a body, a support substrate embedded in the body, a first coil portion and a second coil portion disposed on the support substrate, a first external electrode and a second external electrode disposed on one end surface of the body to be spaced apart from each other, a third external electrode and a fourth external electrode disposed on the other end surface of the body to be spaced apart from each other, a surface insulating layer disposed on one surface of the body connecting the one end surface and the other end surface of the body to each other, and an edge protection layer disposed between the first and second external electrodes and between the third and fourth external electrodes in the one end surface and the other end surface of the body, and having one end portion extending upwardly of the surface insulating layer.

Coil component

A coil component includes an insulating substrate; a coil portion disposed on at least one surface of the insulating substrate; and a body embedding the insulating substrate and the coil portion and having an active portion in which the coil portion is disposed, and a cover portion disposed on the active portion. A ratio of a thickness (T2) of the cover portion to a thickness (T1) of the insulating substrate satisfies 3<T2/T1<6, and the thickness (T2) of the cover portion satisfies 90 μm<T2<120 μm.

An insulating device includes: a first inductor including a first coil layer located in a first plane; a second inductor separated from the first inductor, the second inductor including a second coil layer located in the first plane, a central axis of the second coil layer being positioned inside the first coil layer; and an insulating layer located between the first inductor and the second inductor.

An inductor includes a magnetic body, and a conductor embedded in the magnetic body. The conductor includes a first conductor, and a second conductor covering a periphery of the first conductor.

ELECTRIC FIELD GRADING PROTECTION DESIGN SURROUNDING A GALVANIC OR CAPACITIVE ISOLATOR

Micro-isolators exhibiting enhanced isolation breakdown voltage are described. The micro-isolators may include an electrically floating ring surrounding one of the isolator elements of the micro-isolator. The isolator elements may be capacitor plates or coils. The electrically floating ring surrounding one of the isolator elements may reduce the electric field at the outer edge of the isolator element, thereby enhancing the isolation breakdown voltage.

On-vehicle motor-driven compressor

An on-vehicle motor-driven compressor includes an inverter device having a noise reducer. The noise reducer includes a common mode choke coil. The common mode choke coil includes an annular core, first and second windings wound around the core, the second winding being spaced apart from and opposed to the first winding, an annular conductor that extends over the first winding and the second winding and covers the core, and an insulating layer located between an inner circumferential surface of the conductor and outer surfaces of the first winding and the second winding. The conductor is tubular and belt-shaped. The core includes an exposed portion that is not covered by the conductor. The insulating layer is tubular and belt-shaped. An entirety of the conductor is arranged within a range between opposite ends of the insulating layer.
