Isometric exercise apparatus and storage rack therefor
The present invention relates generally to exercise equipment and more specifically, to an isometric exercise apparatus and a storage rack therefor. The isometric exercise apparatus includes a frame which has a base and a sidewall joined to the base. The base has an exercise platform for supporting a user's body. Also provided is a restraint arm assembly connected to the frame. The arm restraint assembly includes a swing arm pivotally connected to the base, a restraint arm carried by the swing arm and positionable above the exercise platform to inhibit movement of a portion of the user's body so as to allow the user to perform isometric exercises. An indexing assembly is provided to fix the swing arm in a predetermined angular position selected from a set of discrete angular positions relative to the base. At least one limb restraint accessory is positionable at predetermined locations along the base for inhibiting movement of the user's limb so as to allow the user to perform isometric exercises. The apparatus can rapidly be adapted or configured to target a plurality of joint angles to work different muscle groups (or different muscles within the same muscle group) for an enhanced isometric workout.
Stowable lower body fitness apparatus providing enhanced muscle engagement, body stability and range of motion
A collapsible lower body fitness apparatus is disclosed, providing enhanced gluteal muscle engagement, body stability, and range of motion. The apparatus includes a base, a frame, a line-swiveling assembly, and a gripping device that is horizontally displaced from the line-swiveling assembly's swivel axis, allowing a user to stabilize themselves in tripod posture during exercise. Thus a user can perform full range of motion for any combination of hip extension and hip abduction under resistance transmitted by a line, all from a central standing position that substantially straddles the swivel axis. This functional framework of elements can be realized through a variety of possible embodiments. While the frame provides space for leaning during exercise, it may otherwise vary in structural design. In all cases, the frame can be collapsed into a stowable position that is substantially parallel with and adjacent to the base, thereby rendering the apparatus portable and stowable.
CABLE CARRIER GUIDE
A long travel cable carrier guide has a plurality of guideposts that support an upper portion of a cable carrier. The plurality of guideposts include rollers that move between an extended and retracted position that allows the cable carrier to pass by the guideposts. The rollers automatically return to an extended position wherein the rollers protrude into the path of the cable carrier and provide support to the upper portion of the cable carrier as needed.
Lower extremity receiving device for providing enhanced leg mobility during lower body exercise
A lower extremity receiving device is disclosed, which facilitates enhanced gluteal muscle engagement, body stability, and range of motion. The device includes a self-standing sling that can stand upright and ready to receive a user's lower extremity and enable them to commence any combination of hip extension or hip abduction with proper form upon inserting their foot, the sling including a heel socket that surrounds and facilitates rotational movement of the user's heel during the applicable hip extension exercise, and a resistance harness connected to the sling and capable of engaging a resistance-transmitting line for exercise, the harness having a clearance space for providing clearance for a user's foot as they alternately insert or remove their foot. This functional framework of elements enables a user to perform full range of combination of hip extension and hip abduction under resistance, via hands-free insertion of either foot into the sling.
Lower body fitness apparatus for providing enhanced muscle engagement, body stability and range of motion
A lower body fitness apparatus is disclosed, which provides enhanced gluteal muscle engagement, body stability, and range of motion. The line's resistance can be generated by any means contemplated by one of ordinary skill, such as lifting weight, stretching an elastic band, bending a flexible rod, or other means.
Multi-purpose exercise bench
An exercise bench comprises a pair of perforated side frames, each including a rear member projecting upward from a rear side of a base member, and an angled member fixed at an angle between the rear and base members. The pair of side frames are mutually aligned and fixed together at perforated forward and unperforated top cross members. A seat fixed between the pair of side frames at the angled members and attached thereto with pivot mechanisms is moveable along the side frames. The rear, base, and angled members are moveable relative to each other and fixable to at least one resistant band anchor.
Postural dynamics exercise system
Exercise apparatuses that may be particularly useful or treating and strengthening connective tissue. For example, apparatuses that may have or be reconfigured to have multiple (e.g., three or more) configurations that are suspended from above by a ceiling or stand. The equipment facilitates the stabilization of the body according to the principle of tensegrity, so that the tension in all movements is omni-directionally coherent, thus creating omni-tensional integrity, which may be helpful in treatment and strengthening of muscular connective tissue (fasciae) in musculoskeletal dynamics, to restore, rebuild, strengthen and regain elasticity within the human fascial network. These apparatuses can support the user at an oblique body angle while the user performs various movements.
STANDING SURFACE TO ENCOURAGE MOVEMENT
A shaped standing mat or base providing a trampoline-like rebounding surface that is a highly responsive and dynamic support surface for a standing person where that person is able to maintain a proper stance relative to their foot angle, and to engage in mild exercise movement and foot rotation and stretching without undue interruption of mental concentration in a work or other environment.
Mountable exercise machine
A mountable exercise machine is a device that is utilized to perform exercises based on elastic resistance and bodyweight. The device includes a first mounting bracket and a second mounting bracket and may be mounted to a door, wall, or similar surface or structure. A first resistance assembly and a second resistance assembly provide elastic resistance when performing exercise. The user is able to grasp a first handle and a second handle when performing upper body exercises. The first resistance assembly and the second resistance assembly may additionally include an ankle strap for performing lower body exercises. At least one harness strap may be utilized to perform suspension and other bodyweight exercises using the device. An upper door bracket and a lower door bracket allow the device to be mounted to a door instead of a wall or similar surface.
EXERCISE ACCESSORIES AND SYSTEM
An exercise system and associated accessories wherein one exercise accessory includes a resistance-band and a foot-section. The resistance-band and foot-section is used alone, used with a door anchor or wall anchor, or used with a collapsible exercise system. The collapsible exercise system is portable and includes a horizontal-bar, two vertical-supports. Another accessory for use with or without the collapsible exercise system includes a support hook, a hand grip and arm support for performing pull-ups on the horizontal-bar. All accessories may be used alone or with the collapsible exercise system.
