Isometric exercise apparatus and storage rack therefor
The present invention relates generally to exercise equipment and more specifically, to an isometric exercise apparatus and a storage rack therefor. The isometric exercise apparatus includes a frame which has a base and a sidewall joined to the base. The base has an exercise platform for supporting a user's body. Also provided is a restraint arm assembly connected to the frame. The arm restraint assembly includes a swing arm pivotally connected to the base, a restraint arm carried by the swing arm and positionable above the exercise platform to inhibit movement of a portion of the user's body so as to allow the user to perform isometric exercises. An indexing assembly is provided to fix the swing arm in a predetermined angular position selected from a set of discrete angular positions relative to the base. At least one limb restraint accessory is positionable at predetermined locations along the base for inhibiting movement of the user's limb so as to allow the user to perform isometric exercises. The apparatus can rapidly be adapted or configured to target a plurality of joint angles to work different muscle groups (or different muscles within the same muscle group) for an enhanced isometric workout.
BRIDGE BENCH
A bridge bench comprises a pair of stationary vertical base supports which are engaged with the floor to provide stability for the bench, a pair of adjustable legs for adjusting the length of the legs based on the user body length, a pair of hinges attached to the top of the base support legs of the bench from distal end of the legs and pivot/hinging mechanism which attaches to the bench support which supports the back of the user at changing angles as the back moves and changes angles when the user successfully completes the Bridge exercise off of the floor via raising the hips up from resting position on the floor to complete extension. Thus the Bridge exercise can be completed safely, ergonomically, with varying degrees of range, and with added resistance. In the same ergonomically correct and dynamic way, this invention may be used to support the lower part of the back leg when the user is completing split squats, Bulgarian split squats, lunges, or similar single leg exercises.
COMBINATION EXERCISE DEVICE
Apparatuses and methods are presented herein for an exercise apparatus that functions as a floor slider and balance disc. The apparatus comprises a disc comprising a convex side and a flat side. The disc is coupled to a foam annulus that is removably attached to the flat side of the disc. The foam annulus comprises a side surface between a radially inner surface and a radially outer surface. At least one coupling element arranged on the side surface of the foam annulus. At least one complementary coupling element arranged on the flat side of the disc comprises and configured to interface with the at least one coupling element on the side surface of the foam annulus.
