Safety switch and apparatus with door
A safety switch includes a detection unit, an output unit, an input unit; and a display unit. The detection unit is configured to detect presence or absence of abnormality. The output unit is configured to output an abnormality detection signal indicating a detection result of the presence or absence of the abnormality. The input unit is configured to input a display control signal. The display unit is configured to perform display based on the display control signal.
Garage door threshold warmer
A garage door threshold warmer is provided. The garage door threshold warmer includes an electric heating element positioned within a seal that is securable at the lower end of a garage door. The heating element is designed to prevent the seal from freezing to the garage floor in cold climates, thus minimizing damage to the garage door and maintaining an effective seal against snow entry. The heating element is in electronic communication with a power source via a wire system that includes mating first and second connectors for ease of disconnection and reconnection as the garage door moves between an open and closed position, respectively. This automatic disconnection and reconnection mechanism engages as the garage door opens and closes to ensure that the heating element is only activated when the door is closed.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING AN APPLIANCE DOOR POSITION SWITCH FOR SABBATH MODE OPERATION
A position switch retention device for use with an appliance including a body defining a switch-receiving cavity open on at least a first end of the body, a cap extending outwardly from a second end of the body opposite the first end, and a first tab extending from a side of the body. The first tab defines a ramp extending away from the body to an edge directed toward and spaced from the cap.
Hidden dryer door switch
A latch switch assembly for an appliance or the like provides spring-loaded jaws to retain a latch strike when a door of the appliance is closed and a switch operator positioned behind spring-loaded jaws be activated by the latch strike when it is received.
MAGNETIC SWITCH
An improved magnetic switch assembly (16) has a housing (24), a first electrode (40) positioned within the housing (24), a second electrode (42), and a magnetically movable component (48) located within the housing (24) and shiftable between a first position in simultaneous contact with electrodes (40, 42), and a second position out of such simultaneous contact. The electrode (40) has a radially enlarged contact section (44, 58) adjacent the free end thereof which prevents hangup or sticking of component (48) in the first position.
Safety interlock door switch override tool
An apparatus and method for a safety interlock door switch tool are disclosed. An example embodiment includes: support posts having a top end and a bottom end; base elements coupled to the bottom end of the support posts, an attachment mechanism being coupled to the base elements; a grip element coupled to the top end of the support posts; and a plurality of switch depression surfaces formed between the support posts, each of the plurality of switch depression surfaces being configured to engage and activate a particular type of safety interlock door switch.
Method of controlling an appliance door position switch for sabbath mode operation
An appliance includes a position switch retention device for use with an appliance including a body defining a generally cylindrical profile extending through a first portion thereof along an axis and having a first radius. The body further defines a pin-receiving channel open on at least a first end thereof and positioned within the generally cylindrical profile. The device further includes a first tab extending from a side of the body. The tab defines a ramp and an edge with the ramp extending away from the first end of the body to the edge. A cap extends outwardly from a second end of the body opposite the first end. The cap is spaced apart from the edge of the tab at a first distance and has a second radius greater than the first radius.
Actuation device, vehicle and a method for actuation
An actuation device for mounting on a vehicle part, in particular in the form of a door or a hinged closure element, is provided. The subject actuation device includes: an electrical switch having at least one switching element for triggering a vehicle function; and a housing unit having at least a first and a second housing portion, which at least partly form a housing interior, in which the switching element is arranged, the second housing portion being movable, at least in some regions, relative to the first housing portion from an idle position into an actuation position in order to actuate the switching element. A vehicle and an actuation method are also provided.
COOLING APPLIANCE
A cooling appliance includes a cabinet, first and second doors connected to the cabinet and a door-opening detection device having a magnetic element disposed on the first door and a magnetic sensitive element disposed on the cabinet. A first magnetic conductive element on the second door can be magnetized by the magnetic element. The magnetic sensitive element can produce a door-opening signal based on a magnetic field of the first magnetic conductive element. The magnetic sensitive element produces the door-opening signal when at least one of the doors is open. In this way it can be detected, by using one suite of door-opening detection devices, if any door among multiple doors is in an open state. The structure is simple, and the number of components can be reduced. Moreover, wires are reduced, which lowers manufacturing costs and difficulty.
