A leakage current protection device includes a shell and a core assembly disposed within the shell. The core assembly includes a control circuit board, a trip assembly disposed on the control circuit board, and an input end and an output end connected to the trip assembly. The trip assembly includes a first driving member movable linearly in a first direction and a second driving member pivotable around a pivotal support axis, where the first and second driving members are mechanically engaged with each other and move together with each other. The second driving member has two driving points configured to move in a second direction as the second driving member pivots, the second direction being non-parallel to the first direction. Movements of the two driving points of the second driving member in the second direction are operable to electrically connect or disconnect the input and output ends.

Two piece trip lever to open and close contacts remotely

A modified trip lever for a remote controlled miniature circuit breaker comprises a trip lever and a separate kicker lever, which perform alternate functions to either automatically open the main contacts in response to a trip event or alternately open or close the contacts under remote control. The kicker lever rotates clockwise on a pivot in response to an actuator receiving a remote control open signal, to open the contacts by forcing a transverse tab on the kicker lever against a blade carrying a moveable main contact aligned with a stationary main contact. The kicker lever rotates counterclockwise to close the contacts in response to the actuator receiving a remote control close signal. The trip lever mounted on the same pivot, is configured to automatically open the contacts in response to a trip event, by pushing against the back side of the tab of the kicker lever.

An electrical switch including: a switch housing; a switch circuit disposed within the switch housing; said switch circuit including a movable contact member mounted on a contact lever and a stationary contact member; the contact lever being configured for operable-interaction with an actuator, said actuator being configured for movement along an actuator movement axis relative to the contact lever between at least one of an OFF position whereby the contact lever is configured for arrangement in to the first configuration whereby the switch circuit is opened, and, an ON position in which the contact lever is configured for arrangement in to the second configuration whereby the switch circuit is closed; a biasing element configured for biasing the contact lever towards the second configuration; so that the switch circuit is closed when the actuator is moved relative to the contact lever in to the ON positions, said biasing element including a first end attached to a first attachment point in connection with a portion of the contact lever and a second end attached to a second attachment point in connection with the switch housing; and an attachment member configured for attachment with the contact lever whereby when attached to the contact lever, said attachment member is configured for operation as the first attachment point in connection with the portion of the contact lever.

RESTORING ELEMENT, AND ELECTRICAL SWITCH HAVING SUCH A RESTORING ELEMENT

A restoring element is for an electrical switch. In an embodiment, the restoring element is constructed in two parts from a first part and a second part. The two parts are configured to converge in a first direction for tripping the electrical switch and the two parts do not necessarily converge in a second direction for resetting the electrical switch, the second direction being different from the first direction. Further, the second part of the restoring element includes a restoring cam which is configured to interact with a handle of a switching mechanism of the electrical switch, such that, during resetting of the electrical switch, the restoring element is configured to be rotated by the handle in the second direction for resetting the electrical switch.
