Examples are disclosed for a method and apparatus for administering a blackjack game. In some instances, administering the blackjack game comprises receiving at least one wager in a designated player wager area on a gaming surface associated with the blackjack game. In some instances, the at least one wager is associated with at least one tangible gaming chip. Furthermore, in some instances, the blackjack game is associated with a physical gaming table with a play surface and at least one deck of physical card. In some instances, administering the blackjack game comprises dealing, after receiving the at least one wager, at least one hand from the at least one deck for the blackjack game; determining that an outcome of the hand necessitates a dice roll of a set of specialized physical dice associated with a secondary game; determining a payout value on the at least one wager based on an outcome of the dice roll; and resolving the at least one wager according to the payout value.

A gaming table provides for use of RFID technology to track chip movement on a table game and to infer an association between a wager and a player position based on a chip identifier of a chip placed on a particular position of the table. In some embodiments, previous position history of the chip is also taken into account in determining a player position associated with a wager.

A game token tray system includes a game token tray having a dual tray structure in which a game token is stored. The game token tray system includes a double tray including a lower tray and an upper tray stacked on the lower tray to store a game token provided with an RF tag in which tag information is stored, a camera that acquires tray image data by imaging the game token stored in the upper tray, an RIFD reading device that reads the tag information from the RF tag of the game token stored in the lower tray, and a game recording device that records the tray image data and/or an image analysis result of the tray image data about the game token stored in the upper tray and records the tag information read by the RFID reading device about the game token stored in the upper tray.

The system involves receiving a selection of one of the grid spaces. The system determines at least one of the grid spaces based on a relationship among a plurality of factors, including data related to an event occurring outside of the game, at least one column symbol and at least one row symbol. The system is operable to cause an output device to indicate an outcome as a result of the selected grid space being the at least one grid space that is determined based on the relationship.

Methods, systems, and devices are described herein for controlling movement of a platform for rolling at least one dice in a gaming system. In one aspect, a method for controlling movement of a platform for rolling at least one dice in a gaming system is described. In one aspect, a method for controlling movement of a dice includes causing a platform holding at least one dice to move upward with a first force. The method may further include causing the platform to move downward a first distance or over a first period of time. The method may additionally include causing the platform to move upward with a second force, with a height that the dice moves upward being configured by selecting at least one of the first force, the first distance, the first period of time, or the second force.

An RFID system includes multiple antennas and uses amplitude and phase information of the RFID signals received by each antenna to determine the position of RFID tags in the vicinity. More than one antenna can receive the RFID signals during a single read cycle, enabling the RFID system to operate more quickly than a system that energizes antennas separately.

A dice cup used for rolling dice and randomizing the markings shown on the upper side of dice. The dice cup has a flat base and a circumferential side wall that forms a hollow annular shape with a top aperture and that attaches to the base to form a closed bottom. The diameter of the bottom is greater than the diameter of the aperture, whereby the circumferential side wall tapers outward from the aperture to the closed end. Rolling and randomization of the markings on the upper side of the dice is caused by interaction between the dice and (1) protrusions extending upward from the upper surface of the base that have a predetermined size that cause the one or more cubic dice placed inside the dice cup to rest on the corners of each dice, and/or (2) raised surface features on the tapered interior of the side wall.

In a method of presenting a game, a player places a game play wager and one or more optional bonus bets, such as via an input receiving device of a gaming table. Seven cards are dealt to each player and a dealer. The player and dealer attempt to form a highest ranking Straight, Flush or Straight Flush hand. The outcome of the player's game play wager is determined with reference to a rank of the dealer's hand or the player's hand as compared to the dealer's hand. The optional bonus bets are resolved with reference to the rank of the player's hand. Awards for winning game play wagers or bonus bets may be awarded in accordance with a pay table or via a wheel spin or other award selection event which is initiated by the player, such as to the input receiving device.

In a method and system for presenting a game, such as a table game having a base portion and at least one side bet feature, a single combined wager is received, such as at a first wagering location as detected by a wager input sensor, and the combined wager is allocated, such as by a table controller, to an ante required for the base portion of the game and to a side bet required to the side bet feature of the game. An allocated portion of the combined wager to the ante and side bet feature may be variable, such as based upon input of the operator.
