Fuel cell system
A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell, a fuel gas supply line, an oxidizing agent gas supply line, a fuel gas discharge line, and a reformer provided in the fuel gas supply line. A first circulating line circulates the fuel gas from the fuel gas discharge line to an upstream side of the reformer in the fuel gas supply line as a first circulating gas. The circulation device is provided in the fuel gas supply line, and suctions the first circulating gas by using the flow of the fuel gas flowing through the fuel gas supply line as a driving flow. A second circulating line circulates the fuel gas from a downstream side of the circulation device in the fuel gas supply line or the fuel gas discharge line to the upstream side of the circulation device in the fuel gas supply line as a second circulating gas.

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a diesel reformer system comprising: a diesel autothermal reforming unit; a post-reforming unit disposed downstream of the autothermal reforming unit; a heat exchanger disposed downstream of the post-reforming unit; and a desulfurization unit disposed downstream of the heat exchanger.
PROTONIC CERAMIC FUEL CELL SYSTEM
Electrochemical systems for distributed energy generation, comprising protonic ceramic fuel cells (PCFCs), are provided. The systems of the present invention allow for operation at lower stack temperatures than current solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems. These systems can achieve various advantages and benefits over SOFC systems, such as higher fuel utilization, improved cell voltage, and air ratio optimization.
Methods for fuel desulfurization
A method of fuel desulfurization comprises receiving fuel from a source of fuel in a gaseous phase and condensing the fuel in the gaseous phase in a fuel condenser to convert at least a portion of the fuel into a liquid phase. The method further comprises delivering the fuel in the liquid phase directly to a reformer and returning the uncondensed portion of the fuel in the gaseous phase to the source of fuel to inert the source of fuel.
HYDROGEN GAS SUPPLY DEVICE
To provide a hydrogen gas supply device with which pressure resistance of a filter that catches sulfur components contained in a hydrogen gas is improved. A hydrogen gas supply device for a hydrogen station includes a compression portion that compresses a hydrogen gas by reciprocating motion of a piston, in which a piston ring containing sulfur components is mounted on the piston, a filter arranged on the downstream side of the compression portion, the filter that catches sulfur components contained in the hydrogen gas, and a first pipe connecting the compression portion and the filter. The filter includes an element portion having activated carbon onto which the sulfur components contained in the hydrogen gas are absorbable, and a steel housing portion that houses the element portion, in which a gas introduction passage that communicates with the first pipe and guides the hydrogen gas to the element portion is formed.
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM FOR CONDITION-BASED MAINTENANCE OF FUEL CELL FILTERS
A diagnostic system for a filter of a fuel cell includes a supply air duct in which a filter is disposed and in which a supply air flow toward the fuel cell can be guided. A diagnostic arrangement is disposed in the supply air duct after the filter in the flow direction of the supply air. The diagnostic arrangement permits the determination of a loading of the filter with at least one predefined substance. A vehicle having the system and a method for diagnosis of at least one filter of a fuel cell, are also provided.
METHOD OF INTEGRATING A FUEL CELL WITH A STEAM METHANE REFORMER
A method of integrating a fuel cell with a steam methane reformer is provided. The system includes at least one fuel cell including an anode and a cathode, and a steam methane reformer including a syngas stream, and a flue gas stream. The method includes introducing at least a portion of the flue gas stream to the cathode, thereby producing a CO2 depleted flue gas stream and introducing a hydrocarbon containing stream to the anode, thereby producing an electrical energy output and a carbon dioxide and hydrogen containing stream from the fuel cell.
Fuel cell system and method for operating fuel cell system
Provided is a fuel cell system capable of further increasing electric power generation efficiency, compared to the current circumstances, with respect to a fuel cell SOFC that generates electric power by supplying a reformed gas obtained by steam reforming to a fuel electrode. A steam reformer that reforms a hydrocarbon fuel by a steam reforming reaction; a fuel cell that operates by introducing a reformed gas to a fuel electrode; and an anode off-gas circulation path that removes condensed water while cooling an anode off-gas, and introduces the anode off-gas to the steam reformer are provided. A condensation temperature in a condensing device is controlled by a control unit that controls a steam partial pressure of the anode off-gas circulated to the steam reformer, and S/C adjustment is adapted to high-efficiency electric power generation.
FUEL CELL SYSTEM
A fuel cell system includes a reformer, a fuel cell, a desulfurizer, a recirculation passage through which the reformer communicates with the desulfurizer such that a part of the anode gas generated in the reformer flows into the desulfurizer, and an orifice member provided on the recirculation passage. The orifice member or at least a part of an inner wall of a portion that constitutes an upstream side from the orifice member in the recirculation passage is made of a material containing a material having an antifungal action.
