Power storage unit and solar power generation unit
Disclosed is a power storage unit which can safely operate over a wide temperature range. The power storage unit includes: a power storage device; a heater for heating the power storage device; a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the power storage device; and a control circuit configured to inhibit charge of the power storage device when its temperature is lower than a first temperature or higher than a second temperature. The first temperature is exemplified by a temperature which allows the formation of a dendrite over a negative electrode of the power storage device, whereas the second temperature is exemplified by a temperature which causes decomposition of a passivating film formed over a surface of a negative electrode active material.
DIRECT CONNECT HOMEGRID SYSTEM FOR DC POWER DISTRIBUTION
A Direct Connect Homegrid (DC-Homegrid) system for Direct Current (DC) power control and delivery into a structure by way of Unifying Electrical Interface (UEI) platforms is here presented. By means of the Homegrid, multiple self-contained approaches are introduced to keep a structure powered with DC, either as a substitute or as a supplement to the conventional Alternating Current (AC) source. By the illustrated approaches contained herein, a new methodology permitting to retain power operation in the occurrence of a blackout, due to natural disaster, cyber-attack or any other conventional AC grid failure, is revealed. Such DC-Homegrid is envisioned to become the precursor in establishing the DC infrastructure of the future. The embodiments presented in this patent illustrate alternate methods for achieving power independence while increasing the value for adoption of renewable and sustainable energy.
Safe multi-directional charger
The invention provides a safe multi-directional charger, including a charging portion and a battery portion, wherein the charging portion is provided with a current display and a charging slot, and the battery portion is provided with a battery. The battery is connected with a USB interface and a switch. The bottom of battery portion is provided with a solar panel for power generation, and the shell is equipped with a connecting ring and a hook. The invention can solve the problems of abnormal equipment working and current during charging through current display device and the charging failure without direct connection of power supply through solar panel.
