Cell module
A cell module includes a plurality of battery cells each having a safety valve at a first end in a height direction, a first current collector plate including a main body having a through hole that at least partly overlaps the safety valve when viewed along the height direction and a lead extending into the through hole from the main body and being electrically connected to a first terminal of each of the battery cells, an exhaust duct disposed over a surface of the first current collector plate remote from the battery cells, and an insulating film being made of an insulating material and covering an area of the first current collector plate facing the exhaust duct. The safety valve opens when an internal pressure of any of the battery cells reaches or exceeds a predetermined level.

A rechargeable battery according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an electrode assembly; a case for receiving the electrode assembly; a cap plate combined to an opening of the case to close and seal an inside of the case and including a plurality of vent units; an elevation member penetrated and installed in the cap plate and moving by an internal pressure of the case; and a plurality of vent plates for closing and sealing the respective vent units, wherein the vent plate is connected to the elevation member through a connection member and links to the elevation member.

Secondary Battery And Sealing Block
A secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include an electrode assembly and a pouch-type batter. The battery case may include a cup part to accommodate electrode assembly. A sealing part may extend outward from an edge of the cup part and may be sealed. A venting device may be inserted into the sealing part through which a gas inside the cup part may be discharged to the outside. The sealing part may include a vent sealing portion into which the venting device may be inserted, and a weak sealing portion which may be positioned between the vent sealing portion and the cup part and sealed more weakly than the periphery thereof.

A pouch-type battery cell includes a battery case including a metal layer and polymer resin layer, and an electrode assembly disposed within the battery case, the battery case further including an electrode assembly receiving part formed in at least one of an upper case and a lower case of the battery case, and a venting member disposed on an outer surface of the electrode assembly receiving part at a location adjacent to a sealing part of the battery case, wherein the venting member is made of a shape memory alloy that is deformed to penetrate the battery case when a temperature of the venting member increases to a value above a transition temperature of the shape memory alloy. A battery module including the pouch-type battery cell, and a battery pack are also provided.
