A battery, an electrical device, and a method and device for manufacturing a battery are provides. In some embodiments, the battery includes: a plurality of battery cells arranged along a first direction. Each battery cell includes an end cap and a housing, an opening is made at an end of the housing along the first direction, the end cap is configured to close the opening, and the housing includes a first wall extending along the first direction. A pressure relief region is provided on the first wall. The pressure relief region is configured to release pressure along a second direction when an internal pressure or temperature of the battery cell reaches a threshold. The second direction intersects the first direction. In this way, various embodiments improve safety of the battery.

DEGASSING CHANNEL, BATTERY ASSEMBLY, AND MOTOR VEHICLE

A degassing channel for a battery in a motor vehicle designed to be arranged on a cell pack of the battery, which cell pack includes at least one battery cell, which has a releasable cell-degassing opening. The degassing channel has a first channel wall with a releasable wall opening that is assigned only to the cell-degassing opening, which wall opening can be released by a gas pressure of a gas escaping from the assigned cell-degassing opening when the degassing channel is arranged on the cell pack, so that the escaping gas can be directed through the released wall opening into an interior of the degassing channel.

A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery including an electrode body having a positive electrode and a negative electrode, a non-aqueous electrolyte, and a battery case is provided. The battery case includes a case body having an opening and configured to house the electrode body and the non-aqueous electrolyte, and a lid configured to close the opening. The lid includes a plate-shaped lid body, a valve portion configured to open when the internal pressure of the battery case is higher than a valve opening pressure determined in advance, and a degassing portion configured to set to be an opening pressure higher than the valve opening pressure of the valve portion.

Secondary battery

Disclosed in the present invention is a secondary battery having a safety vent integrally formed with a side wall part of a case thereof whereby the secondary battery is improved in safety and has the effect of reducing manufacturing cost and simplifying process. As an example, disclosed is a secondary battery comprising: an electrode assembly; a case for receiving the electrode assembly; and a cap plate for covering an opened opening of the case, wherein the case includes two pairs of side wall parts, the side wall parts in each pair facing each other, and a bottom part perpendicular to the side wall parts, and a safety vent is integrally formed with an edge part of one region selected from the side wall parts and the bottom part.

Rupture valve and energy storage device

A rupture valve is formed on a wall of a container and has a break line along which a wall thickness of the rupture valve is decreased. The break line has an outer edge line which defines an outer edge of an opening region and a plurality of division lines which divide the opening region. The outer edge line has: a first base line and a second base line formed discontinuously such that the first base line and the second base line extend in a first direction, and are formed in a spaced-apart manner in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction; a first support portion forming line formed on a breaking portion of the first base line and extending from the first base line toward the second base line; and a second support portion forming line formed on a breaking portion of the second base line.

Cylindrical or button battery

The present disclosure discloses a cylindrical or button battery. The battery includes a cap, a shell and a ring seal, wherein the cap and the shell are both of a tubular structure having a cover portion and are fitted together to form a hermetic space for accommodating a battery cell; the ring seal is located between a side wall of the cap and a side wall of the shell and is capable of shrinking or being torn when reaching a set temperature so as to form a slit between the side wall of the cap and the side wall of the shell to release pressure. The ring seal of the battery can shrink or be torn at the set temperature to release pressure, and therefore the battery is characterized by excellent safety.
