Battery Watering Status System
20210280953 · 2021-09-09 ·

A system for watering an electrolyte or lead acid battery in which the cumulative amount of water added during each filling event is determined by detecting the amount of water passing from a supply hose to the battery. A fluid dispensing member, such as a direct fill link or nozzle, can be attached to and detached from a single point watering subsystem. A flow detector, such as a flow meter, in fluid communication with the fluid dispensing member can wirelessly output the cumulative water added to specific batteries to an interactive computer application, which can include a wireless component such as a smartphone or tablet communicating with a remotely located interactive database.

Sealing plug arrangement, housing and accumulator

A sealing plug arrangement for sealing a combined filling and degassing opening of an accumulator. The sealing plug arrangement includes at least one valve part, one valve holder, and one sealing plug. The valve part is arranged on the valve holder and forms an openable valve mechanism with the valve holder for sealing at least one interior space of the accumulator from the surrounding area upon pressurization. The sealing plug includes at least one fastening means for fixing to the filling and degassing opening and at the same time subjecting the valve part to a pretensioning force toward the valve holder. The valve holder includes at least one extension axially projecting toward the valve part which is formed as a circumferential sealing edge on a surface facing the valve part on which the valve part rests.

Method for injecting electrolyte to pouch secondary battery using gap-controlling jig

The present disclosure relates to a method for injecting an electrolyte to a pouch secondary battery which includes the steps of: interposing an electrode assembly between a first metal laminate film and a second metal laminate film forming a pouch casing, and sealing the edges of each of the films with an electrolyte inlet left therein, thereby providing a pouch secondary battery; mounting the pouch secondary battery between a first jig and a second jig, which are installed in a jig stand so as to have a controllable interval and form a gap space, with the electrolyte inlet facing up, and injecting an electrolyte through the electrolyte inlet; loading the jig stand to a vacuum chamber; increasing the width of the gap space by moving the first and the second jigs so that the area occupied by the electrolyte may be localized in the lower part of the pouch casing, and then forming vacuum atmosphere; and moving the first and the second jigs while maintaining the vacuum atmosphere so that the width of the gap space may be reduced gradually and the liquid surface of the electrolyte may be lifted gradually to a position higher than the top of the electrode assembly.

FLEXIBLE BATTERY MANUFACTURING METHOD
20210143519 · 2021-05-13 · ·

A manufacturing method for a flexible battery including injecting an electrolyte into an opening of an exterior material accommodating an electrode assembly contained therein and impregnating the electrode assembly with the electrolyte through a pressure difference inside the exterior material; and a sealing step of sealing the opening. Because the electrode assembly provided in the battery can be completely impregnated with an electrolyte, no spot occurs on the surface of a negative electrode filled with the electrolyte. In addition, the flexible battery can prevent or minimize deterioration of physical characteristics that the battery is required to exhibit, even if repeated bending occurs.
