Systems and methods for sensing a level of a volume of a liquid in a container using one or more antenna elements
A liquid level sensor system can include a container configured to hold a volume of a liquid and a monopole antenna arranged proximate the volume of the liquid. A radiofrequency circuit may be configured to apply a radio frequency signal to the monopole antenna and provide one or more signals indicative of a level of the volume of the liquid within the container based on a radio frequency characteristic of the monopole antenna.
Printed impedance transformer for broadband dual-polarized antenna
A broadband dual-polarized antenna integrated high-performance balun. The antenna structure consists of three main parts: radiator, feeding structure and reflector. The radiation element consists of four radiation parts with petal shape, forming two pairs of orthogonal dipole antennas. The feeding structure consists of four circuit boards with separated lines, forming resonant structures corresponding to a balance transformer. The reflector enables to direct the beam, increasing the antenna's orientation.
HEARING AID BOWTIE ANTENNA OPTIMIZED FOR EAR TO EAR COMMUNICATIONS
A hearing aid is described which incorporates an antenna integrated into the housing that is configured to radiate with linear polarization such that the electric field is perpendicular to the head of a wearer. The described technique results in lower propagation losses from ear to ear and an improvement in ear-to-ear communications using a far-field link (e.g., in the 2.4 GHz band).

Antenna module including a flexible substrate
An antenna module includes an integrated circuit (IC), a substrate having a first region having one or more antenna disposed on a surface thereof and a second region flexibly bent and electrically connected to the IC to provide an electrical connection path to the one or more antenna and the IC, a set substrate electrically connected to the IC, and a set module disposed on the set substrate between the set substrate and the first region.
DUAL/TRI-BAND ANTENNA ARRAY ON A SHARED APERTURE
A dual/tri-band array antenna for multiple frequency bands has one or more shared aperture unit cells, and a plurality of dual-polarized magneto-electric dipole antennas or aperture-fed stacked patch antennas configured for signals of the high band(s). A given set of the dual-polarized magneto-electric dipole antennas or aperture-fed stacked patch antennas are positioned on a given one of the shared aperture unit cells in a spaced apart relationship. The array antenna has one or more dual-polarized crossed dipole patch antennas configured for the low band. A given one of the dual-polarized crossed dipole patch antennas are centered on the given one of the shared aperture unit cells and spaced apart from the dual-polarized magneto-electric dipole antennas or aperture-fed stacked patch antennas.
DIPOLE ANTENNA FOR USE IN RADAR APPLICATIONS
An antenna for a ground-penetration radar system is disclosed. The antenna has a housing that defines a cavity. A radiator is located on a surface of a planar substrate within the cavity and is connected to a transmission line balun formed on the planar substrate. A wear-block is located between the radiator and the opening to the cavity for providing mechanical protection to the radiator. An absorber assembly is located on an opposite side of the radiator from the opening. The absorber assembly comprises a microwave absorber and a first dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer is located between the radiator and the microwave absorber.
DUAL-POLARIZED MAGNETO-ELECTRIC DIPOLE WITH SIMULTANEOUS DUAL-BAND OPERATION CAPABILITY
A dual-polarized, dual band antenna has first-band horizontal patches that are on a first layer with pairs of the first horizontal patches defining first electric dipoles for a first operating band. At least each subset of first-band vias are connected to a given one of the first-band horizontal patches and to the antenna ground layer to define first magnetic dipoles for the first operating band. First-band probes excite first magneto-electric dipoles. Second-band horizontal patches may be on a third layer with pairs of the second-band horizontal patches defining second electrical dipoles for a second operating band. At least each subset of the second-band vias are connected to a given one of the second-band horizontal patches and to the antenna ground layer to define second magnetic dipoles for the second operating band. Second-band probes excite the second magneto-electric dipoles as defined by the second electric dipoles and the second magnetic dipoles.
Decoupled inner slot antenna
In the design of phased array antennas, as well as simple use of compact antennas, there is a strong interest to locate higher frequency antennas closer in spacing, and/or on the same surface, as the larger frequency antennas. What is needed is an array antenna technology, which can be conformal, and can interleave elements, as the frequency increases, to reduce array grating lobes. The desired solution would have much fewer required RF antenna ports, than the Tightly Coupled Dipole Antenna solutions. The optimal solution would also enable Dual or Diverse Polarization. This innovation embeds a wideband Slot Antenna, within the physical area of a larger electric dipole Antenna or Cross Dipole Antenna, with a De-Coupling gap around the Slot Ground Plane (or conductor) and isolates the Wideband Slot Antenna (the inner antenna) from the Dipole or Monopole antenna leg(s) (the Outer Antenna). Both (Inner and Outer) antennas have independent feeds and independent transmission line(s). Two key innovations are the use of a De-Coupling gap, and the use of the patent pending innovation “Compact Single Pole Wideband Slot Antenna Design with Inverted Co-Planar Waveguide Feed”. Both the Inner Slot Antenna and its CPW feed are independent and isolated from the Outer Antenna and its feed and transmission line. This structure, which could have a multiplicity of inner Slot Antennas with numerous RF ports, is very different from the slot or parasitic inner structure within a single port antenna system.
