ELECTRIC WIRE MANUFACTURING METHOD AND ELECTRIC WIRE MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
An electric wire manufacturing method includes a step of placing a core wire having a plurality of strands inside a tubular member capable of transmitting laser light, and a step of forming a joined portion where the strands are joined together by emitting laser light along a direction intersecting an axial direction of the tubular member onto an outer circumferential surface of the core wire placed inside the tubular member. The tubular member is, for example, transparent. The laser light transmitted through the tubular member may be emitted onto the outer circumferential surface of the core wire in the step of forming the joined portion.
Outdoor electrical box cord and method of making an outdoor electrical box cord
A power cord includes at least one electrically insulated wire, including a wire conductor disposed within an insulated sleeve, and a connection terminal. The connection terminal includes a crimp portion crimped and soldered to the wire conductor at at least one end of the at least one insulated wire. The power cord further includes a heat shrink sleeve covering the crimp portion of the connection terminal and a portion of the insulated sleeve of the at least one electrically insulated wire, and an overmold molded around at least a portion of the heat shrink sleeve.
INTERCONNECT SYSTEM FOR HIGH CURRENT CONDUCTOR TO CIRCUIT BOARD
An electrical interconnect including slotted lug with a receiving end for connecting to a flat electrical conductor and a fastening end for connecting to a surface mount terminal extending from the surface of a circuit, such as an integrated metal substrate (IMS) circuit board or a circuit card assembly. The interconnect provides a secure connection capable of transmitting a current of at least 100 Arms, to give a non-limiting example value. The interconnect further provides low contact resistance and ease of manufacturing.
SHIELDED ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR FOR AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THEREOF
A method of assembling a connector for automotive applications, comprising the steps of: providing a cable having at least one inner conductor; connecting an elongated inner signal contact of the connector to a stripped end of the at least one inner conductor; surrounding the elongated inner signal contact by an insulating element; placing a first shielding part of the connector around a first portion of the insulating element from a first radial direction; placing a second shielding part of the connector around a second portion of the insulating element from a second radial direction generally opposite to the first radial direction; and joining the first and second shielding parts to form a shielding contact of the connector surrounding the insulating element.
Outdoor electrical box cord and method of making an outdoor electrical box cord
A power cord includes at least one electrically insulated wire, including a wire conductor disposed within an insulated sleeve, and a connection terminal. The connection terminal includes a crimp portion crimped and soldered to the wire conductor at least one end of the at least one insulated wire. The power cord further includes a heat shrink sleeve covering the crimp portion of the connection terminal and a portion of the insulated sleeve of the at least one electrically insulated wire, and an overmold molded around at least a portion of the heat shrink sleeve.
Terminal-equipped electric wire
A terminal-equipped electric wire includes an electric wire in which a core wire including a plurality of strands is covered with a covering, and a terminal fitting attached to the electric wire. The terminal fitting includes a core wire connection body physically and electrically connected to the core wire. The core wire connection body has a bottom, a pair of cantilever side walls erected from the bottom and arranged facing each other with a space therebetween, and at least one set of paired pressure contact bodies arranged facing each other with a space therebetween between the pair of side walls so as to come into pressure contact with the strands in an outermost layer of the core wire.
Electrode connection and method therefor
In various examples, a component for a medical device is described. The component includes a conductor wire including a connection portion. An electrode is formed from a conductive tube. The conductive tube is compressed at least partially around the connection portion of the conductor wire to at least partially surround and couple to the connection portion.
Electrical contact for semiconductor package
Provided herein are semiconductor packages with improved electrical contacts (e.g. pins). In some embodiments, an assembly may include a substrate and an electrical contact coupled to the substrate, the electrical contact consisting of a first component defined by a complex 3D designed receiving pin. The electrical contact may further include a second component defined by another complex 3D designed penetrating pin, wherein the first component engages the second component to deform mechanically and to weld when the first component and the second component are coupled together.
TERMINAL STRUCTURE
The terminal structure includes an electric wire including a core wire and a terminal member attached to the electric wire. The terminal member includes a joining portion to which the core wire is joined and the sealing portion surrounding the joining portion and including an opening portion having the joining portion exposed therethrough. The core wire is joined to the joining portion through the opening portion and is in close contact with the sealing portion annularly around the opening portion.
Device for soldering an electrical conductor with a connection device
A device for soldering an electrical conductor with a connection device includes a base plate having a passageway and an anvil mounted on the base plate and at least partially housed in the passageway. The anvil is electrically insulated from the base plate and positioned to allow an electrical current to pass through the electrical conductor and/or the connection device.
