Clamping assembly for attaching a grounding conductor to a structure having a protective coating
A clamping assembly for attaching a grounding conductor to a pipe having a protective coating includes an elongate conductive strap and a clamp. The conductive strap is sufficiently long to circumferentially surround the pipe and has longitudinally spaced sharp projections that are sufficient to penetrate the protective coating around the pipe to make an electrical coupling between the strap and a conductive part of the pipe beneath the protective coating. The clamp is coupled to the grounding conductor and clamps the conductive strap to the pipe at a tension sufficient to maintain an electrical connection between the conductive part of the pipe and the grounding conductor without the need for any welding of the grounding conductor to the pipe and without the need for any stripping of the protective coating from the pipe.
Connection Structure and Clamp
A connection structure includes an electric wire in which a conductor core wire is coated with an insulating material and a clamp member configured to connect the electric wire to a circuit board. The clamp member includes a first conductor plate mounted on the circuit board to be connected to a circuit and a second conductor plate configured to be attached to the first conductor plate so that at least a part of the second conductor plate comes into contact with the first conductor plate in a state that the electric wire is sandwiched between the first conductor plate and the second conductor plate. At least one of the first conductor plate and the second conductor plate has a protrusion protruding toward the electric wire on a surface of a side facing the electric wire.

Insulation Piercing Connectors
Various implementations of insulation piercing connectors are disclosed. The insulation piercing connectors may be used to attach dual independent electrical connections to a power cable for voltage detection purposes. In some implementations, an insulation piercing connector may include a top half, a bottom half, and a blade seal positioned between the top half and the bottom half. A threaded fastener may engage threads in a hole in a post on the bottom half. The threaded fastener may be tightened to compress the insulation piercing connector around a power cable.
INSULATION PIERCING CONNECTOR
A connector includes a clamping member, a base, and a body. A first channel is formed between the clamping member and the body, and at least one second channel is formed between the base and the body. The positions of the base and the body relative to one another and relative to the clamping member are adjustable to modify the size of the first channel and the second channel. Insulation-piercing members electrically connect a conductor in the first channel to one or more conductors in the second channel(s).

Circuit breaker with current monitoring
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for current monitoring. For example, in a system that includes a first circuit breaker coupled to a primary power source and a second circuit breaker coupled to an alternative power source, there is provided an apparatus that includes a controller circuit configured to prevent back-feeding of power from the alternative power source to the primary power source via tripping the second circuit breaker, in response to the total current in the first and second circuit breakers exceeding a defined maximum level.

Systems for backfeeding photovoltaic arrays through main breaker boxes
A circuit breaker system is provided that receives combined power inputs from a utility and from an alternative energy source for backfeeding to the utility through a standard breaker box without overloading the bus bars of the breaker box.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR RENDERING ELECTRICAL CABLES SAFE
A safe grounding apparatus (SGA) for safely grounding or neutralizing the electrical conductors for permanent magnet motor (PMM) powered artificial lift systems and methods of practicing the same are disclosed. The SGA of the present invention ameliorates some of the dangers associated with PMM's. Methods of shorting, grounding, testing and monitoring the electrical conductors of a permanent magnet motor in order to safely manipulate the conductors are also disclosed.
