A sensor package includes at least one conductive trace providing a voltage common and a base supporting the at least one conductive trace. A conductive extension extends from the base so as to contact a conductor of an insulated conductor when the sensor package is mounted on an insulator of the insulated conductor and thereby provide an electrical connection between the conductive trace providing the voltage common and the conductor.

A sensor package includes at least one conductive trace providing a voltage common and a base supporting the at least one conductive trace. A power distribution system includes a panel assembly that has an outer surface and two conductive structures spaced from each other and spanning beneath the outer surface. An application module is configured to engage one of a plurality of locations disposed over the outer surface of the panel assembly. The application module includes a first contact configured to engage the first conductive structure and a second contact configured to engage the second conductive structure. The second contact is electrically insulated from the first contact and the first conductive structure for the panel assembly to deliver low voltage power to the engaged application module.

Improvements to an electrical junction box is disclosed. The junction box is configured with integrated connections in the back of the junction box. Switches and outlets have tabs in specific locations that align with the desired integrated connections to provide the desired function. All of the outlets and switches align parallel with the back and front of the junction box. The junction box is configurable to accept a single switch, dimmer switch, 3-way or outlet to many more than one function. In addition, the function of a junction box can be easily changed as long as the wiring has been connected to the new junction box. Installation and changes can be made in seconds instead of minutes. The depth of the internal distribution receptacle is adjustable within the adjustable electrical box to accommodate the thickness of the outlet or switch.

The slot may be formed to receive a polymer coated cable such that at least a portion of the polymer coated cable is surround by the body. The body may be formed to also include a first threaded aperture that extends through the body to the slot. A first threaded fastener may be sized to threadably engage the first threaded aperture. The first threaded fastener may include a head at a proximate end, a conical tip at a distal end and threads along a shaft of the fastener between the distal and the proximate end. The conical tip of the first threaded fastener may be formed to pierce the polymer coated cable positioned in the slot. The body may be formed with a second aperture formed to receive a power supply cable to supply electrical power to the polymer coated cable via the first threaded fastener.

A clamp assembly comprises a base housing, an anchor member, at least one bracing member, an engaging member, and a clamp bolt. The anchor member supports the at least one brace member. The clamp bolt engages a threaded bore in the anchor member. When the at least one brace member is in an extended position, at least one set of brace teeth engages at least one set of base teeth to brace the at least one brace member against the base housing. When the at least one base member is braced against the base housing, axial rotation of the clamp bolt applies a clamp force on the engaging member to clamp the cable between the engaging member and the base housing.
