Electrical safety system for a Christmas tree
An artificial lighted tree is presented with power routed through the trunk and three-wire safety grounding. The tree comprising a fused electrical plug having improved safety features comprising: a body portion surrounding respective first ends of a first, a second and a third electrical wire, the body portion further comprising a fuse holder embedded within an upper region of the body portion, and a fuse adapted to be releasably secured within the fuse holder via releasable securing means, a live blade in communication with the first end of the first electrical wire, a neutral blade in communication with the first end of the second electrical wire, a ground pin receptacle in communication with the first end of the third electrical wire, wherein the body portion surrounds and maintains the live blade, neutral blade, and ground pin receptacle in spaced apart orientation corresponding to polarized sockets on an electrical wall outlet.
BONDING LINE ATTACHMENT
A bonding wire conductively connected to a pipe having a pipe body and a conductive tab mounted to the pipe and having a hole therein, the bonding wire being in the form of a braided conductive cable provided with a connector at each of its ends, the bonding wire being tightly wound around the pipe body and the ends both passing through the hole in the connector such that the ends of the bonding wire extend away from the pipe body after passing through the hole, while a portion of the bonding wire between the end portions is wrapped tightly around the pipe body; the bonding wire held under tension around the pipe body by a crimp around the two end portions where they pass through the hole.
SWIVEL JOINT WITH ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY GREASE FITTING
A swivel joint includes a tail section and a body portion that define a passageway therethrough and which can rotate relative to one another. One or more seals and bearings can be disposed between the tail section and the body portion. An electrical conductivity grease fitting can be mounted within a bore hole in the body portion. The electrical conductivity grease fitting can have a lubricant passed therethrough to lubricate the bearings. The electrical conductivity grease fitting has a first portion in electrical communication with the body portion and a second portion that is biased into electrical communication with the tail section to maintain electrical conductivity between the tail section and the body portion.
Flange tab apparatus and methods of use
According to the present embodiments, an improved flange tab apparatus and methods of use for establishing electrical continuity between at least two electrically conductive structures are provided. More specifically, the present apparatus may be used to establish electrical continuity between an electrically conductive portion of each electrically conductive structure using a flange tab with an aperture for slidably receiving an electrically conductive portion of a first of the at least two structures and connecting the apparatus thereto, and an electrical lead connector for connecting the apparatus to an electrically conductive portion of a second of the at least two structures. The present apparatus may further comprise at least two concentric discs removably mounted in series within the aperture for selecting the diameter of the aperture and a sealing portion for sealingly engaging the apparatus with the at least two structures.
IMPROVED FLANGE TAB APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
PRESS COUPLER FOR ELECTRICAL CONDUIT
A press coupler is provided for use with a pipe or conduit system. The press coupler facilitates increased ease and speed of assembly of pipe and conduit installations and can be used with both threaded and non-threaded connections.
Busbar for bonding connections
A busbar is provided for attaching a conductor to a support structure. The busbar can include a main bonding wall, a first mounting wall extending away from a first end of the main bonding wall, a second mounting wall extending away from a second end of the main bonding wall. A first flap can extend at an angle from the first mounting wall towards the second mounting wall and the main bonding wall, or a second flap can extend at an angle from the second mounting wall towards the first mounting wall and the main bonding wall.
ELECTRIC HEATING DEVICE AND ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE SAME FOR RADIANT HEATING SYSTEM
An electric heating device includes a conductive pipe having an interior and at least one end portion, one or more heating elements disposed in the conductive pipe, one or more power connectors extending into the interior of the conductive pipe to be electrically connected to the one or more heating elements, a ground connector contacting the at least one end portion of the conductive pipe to be electrically connected to the conductive pipe, and a first member enclosing the at least one end portion of the conductive pipe, the one or more power connectors, and the ground connector.
Housing with self-orienting grounding stud
A self-aligning grounding stud arrangement (100) for a housing (120) includes a grounding stud (210) that extends from a first end (212) outside the housing (120) to a second end (214) inside the housing (120). An anti-rotation flange (230) of the grounding stud (210) is received by an anti-rotation receiver (138) of the housing (120). The grounding stud (210) includes a first attachment feature (220) positioned between the first end (212) of the grounding stud (210) and the anti-rotation flange (230) and further includes a second attachment feature (260) positioned between the second end (214) of the grounding stud (210) and the anti-rotation flange (230). The housing (120) includes at least one guide (140) for rotationally orienting the anti-rotation flange (230) with the anti-rotation receiver (138).
