The artificial lighted tree comprising a fused electrical plug having improved safety features comprising: a body portion surrounding respective first ends of a first, a second and a third electrical wire, the body portion further comprising a fuse holder embedded within an upper region of the body portion, and a fuse adapted to be releasably secured within the fuse holder via releasable securing means, a live blade in electrical communication with the first end of the first electrical wire, a neutral blade in electrical communication with the first end of the second electrical wire, a ground pin receptacle in electrical communication with the first end of the third electrical wire, wherein the body portion surrounds and maintains the live blade, neutral blade, and ground pin receptacle in spaced apart orientation corresponding to polarized sockets on an electrical wall outlet.

A swivel joint includes a tail section and a body portion that define a passageway therethrough and which can rotate relative to one another. One or more seals and bearings can be disposed between the tail section and the body portion. An electrical conductivity grease fitting can be mounted within a bore hole in the body portion. The electrical conductivity grease fitting can have a lubricant passed therethrough to lubricate the bearings. The electrical conductivity grease fitting has a first portion in electrical communication with the body portion and a second portion that is biased into electrical communication with the tail section to maintain electrical conductivity between the tail section and the body portion.

A coaxial connector includes a connector front end connectable with a circuit board and a connector rear end connectable with a coaxial cable. An outer conductor arrangement connectable with an outer conductor of a coaxial cable at the connector rear end, which has a compensator means arranged at the connector front end and has at least one cup spring having a contacting zone configured to contact a contact face of a circuit board to establish an electrical interconnection between the outer conductor arrangement and the contact face. The cup spring has a center aperture that is at least partially encircled by the contacting zone. An inner conductor arrangement includes a contacting tip configured to contact a contacting point of a circuit board via the center aperture of the compensator means to establish an electrical contact between the inner conductor and the contacting point.

Various embodiment electrical power cord design implementations may include a three-prong safety grounded plug located at a first distal end of the electrical power cord, the plug electrically coupled to a multi-conductor cable comprising a neutral member, a hot member and a ground member; a circuit protector connected in-line with the multi-conductor cable, the circuit protector comprising a fuse, or, a circuit breaker, having stationary and movable contacts operable between open and closed positions, and a manually operable reset button operably configured with the circuit breaker and electrically connected between said circuit breaker and the ground member for selectively actuating said circuit breaker for opening said movable contacts; a polarized female socket located at a second distal end of the electrical power cord, wherein the hot member of the multi-conductor cable is electrically coupled to the circuit breaker at a first connection point; and wherein the neutral and hot members of the multi-conductor cable are electrically coupled to the polarized female socket at a second connection point.

A clamping assembly for attaching a grounding conductor to a pipe having a protective coating includes an elongate conductive strap and a clamp. The conductive strap is sufficiently long to circumferentially surround the pipe and has longitudinally spaced sharp projections that are sufficient to penetrate the protective coating around the pipe to make an electrical coupling between the strap and a conductive part of the pipe beneath the protective coating. The clamp is coupled to the grounding conductor and clamps the conductive strap to the pipe at a tension sufficient to maintain an electrical connection between the conductive part of the pipe and the grounding conductor without the need for any welding of the grounding conductor to the pipe and without the need for any stripping of the protective coating from the pipe.

A mechanical grounding clamp includes a body, having an upper plate defining a threaded hole therethrough and having an outer surface, a lower plate spaced apart from the upper plate and having an inner surface, and a connecting plate connecting the upper plate to the lower plate; a set screw mateable with the threaded hole in the upper plate and having a proximate end and a distal end, the distal end extendable through the threaded hole of the upper plate and toward the inner surface of the lower plate. There may be a nut on the set screw for driving toward the upper plate to secure a grounding conductor to the body. Optionally there is a cap defining a set screw hole therethrough and having an inner surface, the cap affixable to the outer surface of the upper plate with the set screw passing through the set screw hole; the nut may secure the cap to the upper plate.

A transition fitting for achieving a rain-tight transition at the entry of photovoltaic cables with EMT. The transition fitting includes a fitting body with an internal bore, a grommet seated within the bore, a nut for tightening the grommet against the fitting body, a compression fitting and a ground lug extending from the nut. A plurality of bores extend partially through the grommet. Photovoltaic (PV) cables may be inserted within one or more of the bores in the grommet and the nut tightened upon the fitting body to form a rain-tight fit around the PV cables. The skins of the grommet remain intact in any unused bores to maintain a rain-tight seal on any unused bores. The transition fitting will maintain a rain-tight seal at the entry of PV cables to EMT. The ground lug provides a means of grounding the EMT to the transition fitting.
