The first outer conductor 41 is a member formed with a tubular shape by casting or cutting, and includes an accommodation portion 43 that accommodates at least a portion of the second outer conductor 42, and a first lock portion 47 provided inside the accommodation portion 43. The second outer conductor 42 is a plate-shaped member and includes a second lock portion 51 that can be locked to the first lock portion 47. The second lock portion 51 can undergo bending deformation.
HOLDING DEVICE
A holding device and a method for mounting such a holding device on a cable having a braid situated externally at least in certain regions. The holding device includes a base element (4) with a base (9) for fastening the base element (4) to a housing, and a bracing element (5) for operative connection to the base element (4), and also a crimp element (6) with an outer crimp sleeve (10), and, arranged therein, an inner supporting sleeve (11). In a state in which the cable (2) is mounted in the holding device (1), the braid (3) is arranged between the crimp sleeve (10) and the supporting sleeve (11), and the shield braid (4) is crimped between the crimp sleeve (10) and the supporting sleeve (11).
SHIELDING ELECTRICAL TERMINAL WITH KNURLING ON INNER CONTACT WALLS
A shielding electrical terminal is presented herein. The shielding electrical terminal includes a securing portion that is configured to attach to an outer shield conductor of a shielded cable and a cylindrical mating portion having an inner surface configured to make electrical contact with a corresponding cylindrical shield terminal inserted within the mating portion. The inner surface of the mating portion defines a plurality of protrusions that extend from the inner surface.
FERRULE FOR A COAXIAL CABLE TERMINAL HAVING OVERLAPPING CRIMP WINGS
A coaxial cable assembly includes a coaxial cable having a shield conductor surrounding a central conductor, a shield terminal in contact with an inner surface of the shield conductor, and a ferrule configured to secure the shield terminal to the coaxial cable. The ferrule defines first and second crimping wings. The first and second crimping wings each having an arcuate shape and are compressively connected to an outer surface of the shield conductor. A distal end of the first crimping wing overlies a distal end of the second crimping wing. A method for forming the coaxial cable assembly and a crimping tool for attaching the ferrule to the coaxial cable is also provided.
ANTENNA ASSEMBLY
An antenna assembly 10 is provided with an antenna body 20 formed of a sheet metal, an electric cable 40 and a conductive film 50. The antenna body 20 is provided with at least one crimp portion 28. The conductive film 50 has a main portion 52 and at least one connected portion 54 extending from the main portion 52. The electric cable 40 has a conductor portion 46. The at least one crimp portion 28 is crimped to the conductor portion 46 in a state that at least one connected portion 54 lies between the conductor portion 46 and the at least one crimp portion 28
ULTRA-LOW PROFILE COAXIAL CABLE CONNECTOR
An ultra-low profile coaxial cable connector (i.e. plug) is provided that implements a lateral coupling of a coaxial cable inner conductor and center pin of a mating PCB-mounted coaxial receptacle. The overall height of a mating coaxial receptacle center pin is also reduced by way of a cutout in the receptacle ground ring as well as a cutout in a mating outer shell of the coaxial cable connector. The ultra-low profile coaxial cable connector achieves a reduction in mated height of less than 1.0 mm for both 1.13 mm diameter and 0.81 mm diameter coaxial cables. In both cases, the coaxial cable connector designs as discussed herein enable a further reduction in the total thickness of communication module boards to 1.25 mm, thereby meeting the high demands for thinner electronic device designs.
Robust, high frequency-suitable electrical terminal
An electrical terminal includes a contacting section and a crimping section arranged to a rear of the contacting section in an axial direction of the terminal. A first material layer of the crimping section is crimped directly onto a second material layer of the terminal or of the crimping section in a crimped state, forming a double material layer region.
VEHICULAR CAMERA WITH STACKED CIRCUIT BOARDS AND METALLIC CONNECTING ELEMENT
A vehicular camera includes a front housing portion, a first circuit board having an imager, a second circuit board in board-to-board electrical connection with the first circuit board, and a rear housing portion having a connector for electrically connecting to an electrical connection of a wire harness of a vehicle. The rear housing portion when joined with the front housing portion forms a camera housing. The connector of the rear housing portion includes a multi-pin connector having at least three terminals that, with the rear housing portion joined with the front housing portion, electrically connect to respective terminals of the electrical connector at the second circuit board. The connector includes an electrically conductive metallic clamping element that engages a metallic shield element at the electrical connector at the second circuit board to establish a ground path from the connector of the rear housing portion to the second circuit board.
SHIELDED TERMINAL AND SHIELDED CONNECTOR
Provided are a shielded terminal and a shielded connector that can prevent a short circuit between a connection portion for an electric component and an outer conductor. A shielded terminal includes an outer conductor, a connection portion for an electric component, and an insulator, wherein the outer conductor has a crimping portion that is crimped onto an end portion of a shielded wire, a bottom surface portion in which an opening is formed forward of the crimping portion, and side surface portions provided on both the left and right sides of the bottom surface portion, the connection portion is disposed between the left and right side surface portions and formed by connecting a center conductor of the shielded wire and the electric component to each other, and the insulator has left and right side walls that are located between the connection portion and the respective side surface portions.
Outer Conductor and Coaxial Connector
An outer conductor of a coaxial connector includes a main body and a first connection part connected to an end of the main body. The first connection part is cylindrical and has a partition slit extending in an axial direction. A protrusion is formed on an inner side of a distal end of the first connection part and is electrically connectable with a mating outer conductor inserted into the first connection part. An outer diameter of the first connection part is smaller than an outer diameter of the main body. An inner diameter of a portion of the first connection part other than the protrusion is constant.
