HVAC WALL MOUNTABLE CONNECTOR WITH MEMORY

A wall mountable connector configured to facilitate a user in removing a first thermostat from the wall mountable connector and installing a new, different second thermostat on the wall mountable connector without having to do any wiring work. The field wires remain coupled to the wall mountable connector, and the wall mountable connector provides the appropriate electrical connections between the field wires and the first and second thermostats. In some cases, the wall mountable connector may include a memory for storing data communicated by a first thermostat, and to communicate the stored data to a subsequently installed second thermostat. In some instances, the first and second thermostats may be selected from a line of compatible thermostats.

SET OF EXTERNAL CONNECTION MODULES FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ENCLOSURE, AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTION ENCLOSURE COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE SUCH EXTERNAL CONNECTION MODULE

An electrical connection enclosure comprises at least one electricity source connected to an associated electrical load and comprising a base, a frontal portion, a cover and functional elements attached to the base. All the electricity sources have a base of constant height and a frontal portion and a cover whose heights are adapted to the dimensions of the functional elements. The electrical enclosure comprises at least one external connection module (706) associated to one of the electricity sources and selected from a set of external connection modules. Each external connection module comprises a first end (709) of height equal to the height of the bases and comprising input connectors (710) connected to the electricity source, and a second end (711) of height equal to one, two or three times the height of the bases and less than or equal to the height of the associated electricity sources and comprising output connectors (712) connected to the electrical load.

CONNECTION STRUCTURE BETWEEN PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD AND TERMINAL BLOCK, TERMINAL BLOCK, AND AIR CONDITIONER

A connection structure between a printed circuit board and a terminal block includes: an insertion portion at one end of the printed circuit board with a pattern disposed thereon; a terminal-block main body including a receiving port that receives the insertion portion; a nut held in the terminal-block main body; and a screw tightened into the nut. The pattern is interposed between the screw and the nut when the insertion portion is inserted into the receiving port.

TERMINAL BLOCK

A terminal block includes a base, a support provided on the support, and a first terminal pair, a second terminal pair and a third terminal pair each supported by the support. A coupling line of the first electric wire is arranged along a first straight line, and a coupling line of the second electric wire is arranged along a second straight line. The base includes a support protrusion that extends to a coupling line of the third electric wire through between the coupling line of the first electric wire and the coupling line of the second electric wire and supports the coupling line of the third electric wire.

ATTACHING AN ISOLATED SINGLE STUD FUSE TO AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE

An electrical device assembly and method to attach an isolated single stud fuse assembly to an electrical device are disclosed. The electrical device assembly consists of multiple studs, one or more of which is replaced with the isolated single stud fuse. A conductive copper landing zone receives an electrically isolated steel stud. When the landing pad assembly is orbital riveted into a plastic housing of the electrical device, the stud is locked into the housing permanently. Electrical devices such as disconnect switches and power distribution modules, both of which include multiple studs, are good candidates for being adapted with the single stud fuse assembly.

Wall mountable connector terminal configuration

A wall mountable connector to provide mechanical and electrical connections for a thermostat. The wall mountable connector may include a field wire receiving cavity, with a first column of wiring terminals and a second column of wiring terminals, with each of the wiring terminals configured to receive a field wire. Each of a first column of pin terminals may be electrically coupled with each of the first column of wiring terminals and each of a second column of pin terminals may be electrically coupled with each of the second column of wiring terminals. In some cases, the first column of pin terminals may be spaced a distance of 3 to 20 millimeters from a first side edge of the housing, and the second column of pin terminals may be spaced a distance of 3 to 20 millimeters from an opposing second side edge of the housing.

Wall mountable connector with commonly used field wire terminals spaced from one another

A wall mountable connector is configured for securing a thermostat to a wall. The wall mountable connector is further configured to provide electrical connections with field wires exiting the wall and in turn to provide electrical connection with the thermostat. In some instances, the wall mountable connector is configured to provide easier connections with the field wires. In some cases, for example, the wall mountable connector is configured to better accommodate more commonly used field wires, and in some cases, space the more commonly used field wires from one another.

Breaker Plug, Network Systems and Methods

A device with “plug-in” receptacle that mounts in a breaker panel. The plug receptacle receives a power cord inserted by the operator. The device includes a multifunction circuit interrupt that offers overload, thermal, and ground fault (GFCI) protection for the operator in hazardous environments such as garages, shops and spider boxes at construction sites. The devices may include a networkable node or port and onboard comm circuitry that is compatible with a wired or wireless TOT network. In another embodiment, a dummy breaker body includes a plug receptacle with a GFCI interrupt circuit but no direct electrical connection to the hot bus bar, and is wired in series with a conventional circuit breaker module in a breaker panel. Using solid state electronics, the GFCI panel-mounted devices may be configured to perform an automatic fault test prior to each use. Network systems using smart breaker devices are described.
