SMART-FAN COMPONENTS, CONTROLS AND SYSTEMS

A network-controllable cooling fan can have a recessed connector port with an internal tongue that defines an edge connector having a plurality of electrical contacts. The tongue can also define a plurality of electrically conductive tracks that electrically couple with the electrical contacts. Control logic can have a plurality of electrical connections and a logic bus that electrically couples the electrical connections of the control logic with the electrically conductive tracks defined by the tongue. An electrical biscuit-connector with internal electrical interconnections can join the network-controllable cooling fan with another network-controllable cooling fan, extending the logic bus while obscuring the electrical interconnections from a user’s view.

A connector is provided with an inner housing to be arranged inside an outer housing, a retainer mounting hole open in one surface of the inner housing, a terminal fitting to be accommodated into the inner housing, and a retainer to be inserted into the retainer mounting hole and having a part configured to lock the terminal fitting in a properly inserted state and project outward from the one surface of the inner housing in a half-inserted state. The outer housing includes an interfering portion capable of interfering with the retainer in the half-inserted state. The inner housing is held displaceably to a first posture where the one surface is located away from the interfering portion and a second posture where the one surface is located closer to the interfering portion than in the first posture with respect to the outer housing.

Electrical plug connector

An electrical plug connector includes a metallic shell, a first insulated housing, a second insulated housing, a first terminal module, and a second terminal module. The first terminal module includes the first terminals and the first assembling block combined with each other to form a one-piece member, and then the first insulated housing is further combined with the first terminal module. The second terminal module includes the second terminals and the second assembling block combined with each other to form a one-piece member, and then the second insulated housing is further combined with the second terminal module. The four-piece component is assembled into the metallic shell. Accordingly, the number of the components for manufacturing the connector can be reduced, thereby simplifying the assembling procedure for the connector.
