CONNECTOR WITH INTEGRATED SEAL RETAINER AND SECONDARY TERMINAL LOCK
A connector assembly includes a connector body defining a terminal cavity configured to receive a terminal therein and extending along a longitudinal mating axis. The connector assembly also includes a compliant seal peripherally surrounding the connector body. The connector assembly further includes a retainer that peripherally surrounds a portion of the connector body and is movable to a first position in which the retainer inhibits movement of the seal along the mating axis and allows insertion of the terminal within the terminal cavity. The retainer is further movable from the first position to a second position in which the retainer inhibits movement of the seal along the mating axis while also inhibiting removal of the terminal from the terminal cavity. A method of assembling a connector is also presented.

Method for improving clearance and creepage in a high voltage connector assembly using a male terminal position assurance (TPA) device
A method for improving clearance and creepage in a male high voltage connector assembly using a male terminal position assurance (TPA) device. The male high voltage connector assembly is highly suitable for high voltage electrical terminals, which are larger terminals. The method includes a step of allowing a clearance and creepage or electrical path to extend from at least a high voltage electrical terminal to a male outer housing of the high voltage connector assembly. When the TPA device is inserted and locked within a male inner housing of the high voltage connector assembly, the clearance and creepage or electrical path extends from the high voltage electrical terminal along at least a surface of the TPA device and to the male outer housing of the high voltage connector assembly. The male TPA device includes wing-like shape members with intermediate members that extend substantially and respectively downward from the wing-like shape members.

Electrical Connector
Having an advantage in user convenience, an electrical connector for connecting with an electrical cable under a do-it-yourself scenario is provided, where the cable has a knot at a cable end. The connector comprises a connector body and a cover. The connector body has an internal space for housing the knot, an opening for allowing the cable end to access the internal space, and an outlet for allowing the cable to run from the internal space to outside the connector body. The cover has a top plate for covering the opening. In particular, the cover includes two wings protruded from the top plate collectively for claiming the knot to secure the knot inside the internal space. A separation of the two wings is advantageously selected to be 2 times to 3 times of a cross-sectional width of the outlet for producing a clamping effect on the knot.

Electrical connector and manufacturing method thereof
An electrical connector and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The electrical connector includes: a terminal set having at least one middle terminal, a left terminal and a right terminal; a terminal base for allowing the middle terminal to penetrate therethrough and preventing it from touching a base body of the terminal base and for respectively positioning the left terminal and the right terminal at two sides of the middle terminal and making the left terminal and the right terminal electrically interconnected; and an insulating housing for positioning the middle terminal and the terminal base and for allowing both ends of each of the middle, left terminal and the right terminal to be respectively extended in a predetermined direction and beyond the insulating housing. The present invention can simplify manufacturing procedures of the electrical connector, more effectively assure positioning of the terminal set and improve product yield.
