An electronic device charger accessory suitable for enclosing and securing a power adapter to a charger cord for an electronic device may include an adapter enclosure having an interior sized and configured to enclose a power adapter of a device charger cable. A first opening may be provided in the adapter enclosure in communication with the interior of the adapter enclosure. A flexible link may extend from the adapter enclosure. A connector sleeve may be carried by the link. The connector sleeve may have an interior sized and configured to enclose a first connector of the device charger cable, and may further include a first opening communicating with the interior of the connector sleeve. The link may be flexed to place the connector sleeve against the adapter enclosure such that a cable connector can be extended through both first openings.

Method of manufacturing a hand tool for coupling together first and second cable sections

An illustrative cable connector hand tool and associated method are operable to permit cable connection sections to respectively pass through a side opening of hand tool members into a center aperture of the tool members. In one illustrative embodiment, the hand tool members are formed with a recessed portion adapted to receive an end of one of a pair of cable connectors such that mating edges of the cable connectors used to couple the cable connection sections are visible when the cable connectors are in a coupled configuration abutting each other. An illustrative embodiment includes the recessed portion formed with a plurality of keyway indentions or recesses spaced apart in the center aperture that are operable to engage keys, protrusions, or lugs on an outer wall of the cable connectors.

EXTENSION CORD RETAINER

An extension cord retainer for keeping a pair of extension cords coupled together includes a housing that receives a male mating member of a first extension cord and a female mating member of a second extension cord wherein the male mating member and the female mating member are coupled together and positioned within the housing.

Locking electrical receptacle with elongate clamping surfaces

A method and apparatus (utility) for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. The utility includes a clamping mechanism whereby the very forces that would otherwise tend to pull the connection apart serve to actuate the clamping mechanism, thereby securing the mated pair. The apparatus may be integrated into a standard receptacle, or retrofitted to work with existing devices. In one embodiment, the clamping mechanism acts solely on the ground prong of a standard plug assembly, so that it is unnecessary to consider electrical potentials applied to the clamped prong in relation to the design of the clamping mechanism. Further, the withdrawing movement of the prongs of a plug may cause elongate clamping surfaces of the clamping mechanism to frictionally engage opposing surfaces of the clamped prong.

PLUG RETENTION SYSTEM

Retention components are provided that are configured to retain a first end of an electrical cord in a plugged configuration with an electrical outlet. The retention components have an interior sized to receive the first end therein and include an wire opening having at least one dimension that is smaller than the corresponding dimension of the first end so that the first end cannot pass therethrough. In one form, a wall plate is provided having retention portion configured to retain a first end of an electrical cord, such that with the wall plate secured to a wall or other substrate, the first end of the electrical cord is retained between the wall and the wall plate. The retention portion may have walls with at least one ventilation opening.

CASING FOR CONNECTING POWER CORDS

Locking electrical receptacle

A method and apparatus for securing an electrical connection formed by a mating structure including prongs of a male assembly and receptacles of a female assembly are provided. In certain embodiments, the electrical connection can be secured by frictional engagement between the plug and receptacle housings. This can be accomplished by forcing a wedge into an interface between the housings or expanding a locking element, such as an elastomeric ring, into the interface. Such locking and releasing of the secure connection can be actuated using a locking nut.

PIN, PANEL STRUCTURE, AND EXTENSION SOCKET THEREOF

The present application relates to the technical field of connecting devices, and discloses a pin, a panel structure, and an extension socket thereof. The pin includes wiring terminals and a mounting base. The mounting base is provided with at least two mounting holes into which the wiring terminals are embedded. The mounting base is further provided with a through hole. The present application has the effect of improving production efficiency of extension sockets.

CABLE

A cable includes a line for signal transmission or power source supply, a first metal wire having flexibility and a shape-retaining property, a plurality of yarns extending substantially in the same direction as that of the first metal wire, and a coating material for coating the line, the first metal wire, and the plurality of yarns.
