Charging socket provided with a dual-functional feature for drainage and fixing functions

A charging socket includes a housing formed of an electrically insulating material, a cavity in the housing receiving an electrical contact, and a dual-functional element partially protruding from an outer surface of the housing. The dual-functional element has a fixing component and a drainage component. The fixing component protrudes from the housing and fixes the housing to a mounting bracket. The drainage component has a drainage channel within the housing discharging fluids from the charging socket.

Access Control Assembly, System, and Method for Controlling Access to a Plug End of a Power Plug Assembly
20250167492 · 2025-05-22 · ·

There is provided an access control assembly for controlling access to a plug end of a power plug assembly. The access control assembly includes a hinged ring having a first portion pivotably connected to a second portion, so that the first portion pivots toward and away from the second portion to close and open the hinged ring. The first portion and the second portion each has one or more lockout holes. The access control assembly includes one or more locking elements, a cap having an internal cavity and an exterior lip, and a cap connector element. The access control assembly controls access to the plug end of the power plug assembly by preventing connection of the plug end when the plug end is in an unplugged position, and by preventing disconnection of the plug end when the plug end is plugged into a power outlet in a plugged-in position.

HYBRID VEHICLE CONNECTOR

The present disclosure describes a vehicle charging system comprising a vehicle charging gun comprising at least two pins, a protective earth (PE) pin configured to connect to ground and a proximity pilot (PP) pin configured to detect when the vehicle charging gun has been inserted into a vehicle; and an apparatus to couple with the vehicle charging gun, the apparatus comprising: a switch operable between a first position and a second position, the switch being controlled by a controller, wherein, when the switch is in the first position, the switch enables the vehicle or a vehicle charging station to detect that the vehicle charging gun is inserted into a vehicle inlet port of the vehicle, and when the switch is in the second position, the apparatus generates an electrical effect that simulates the removal of the vehicle charging gun from the vehicle inlet port.

Locking power cord receptacle

A locking power cord receptacle configured to receive an electric power cord plug that includes a ground pin comprises a base receptacle and a locking assembly. The base receptacle includes a first female connector, a second female connector, and a ground female connector positioned on an upper surface and arranged to receive the power cord plug. The base receptacle further includes a body cavity on the upper surface. The locking assembly has a locked state in which the locking assembly blocks access to the base receptacle and an unlocked state in which the power cord plug can be plugged in to the base receptacle. The locking assembly includes a locking cover and a locking component. The locking cover includes a disc and a sleeve coupled to the disc and the base receptacle. The locking component is retained in the body cavity and has a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration.

An unlocking key for a port lock of an electronic device for unlocking and separating, from a port of the electronic device, a blocking module which is inserted and coupled to the port of the electronic device and has a key recess in which a pattern part and a latch key holding recess are formed on different inner surfaces of the key recess, includes a main body casing, a movable housing installed to protrude from a front end of the main body casing, a pattern key which is fixedly installed to protrude from a front end of the movable housing, a latch key which protrudes from the front end of the movable housing, and a manipulation part which is movably installed in the main body casing and controls reciprocating of the movable housing and opening and closing of the latch key.

SELF LOCKING EV CHARGING ADAPTER

An adapter for EV supply equipment (EVSE). The EVSE can have an EVSE connector for charging a PEV. The EVSE connector provides a first connector corresponding to a first charging protocol. The adapter can include a body, a first coupling disposed on the body and configured to engage the first connector, a second coupling disposed on the body and corresponding to a second charging protocol, the body converting the first charging protocol to the second charging protocol, and a lock configured to maintain the body in a locked configuration to the EVSE connector or to the EVSE while allowing the adapter to switch between being locked to the EVSE connector or to the EVSE.

Self-locking connector

A self-locking connector provides an electrical connection between sources, equipment, devices, and the like. The self-locking connector generally includes first and second connector components with first and second housings that include corresponding electrically conductive elements, first and second magnetic elements, and first and second lock elements. One housing includes stationary and movable housing components. The connector components are brought into a coupled state with the corresponding electrically conductive elements providing an electrical connection. As the connector components are brought into the coupled state, the movable housing component automatically moves and brings the locking elements into locked engagement. The magnetic elements urge the connector components in the coupled state and the locking elements in locked engagement. The movable housing component is manually moved to bring the lock components out of locked engagement and the connector components out of the coupled state to break the electrical connection.

Connector having a release button

A connector includes a housing and a release button. The housing defines a recess for receiving a latch member of a receptacle. The release button is operable to cause displacement of the latch member from the recess and has a surface that aligns with a surface portion of the housing when disconnected from the receptacle. The surface of the release button protrudes from the surface portion of the housing when the connector is connected to the receptacle to provide a visual indication that the connector is connected to the receptacle.

Locking Device for a Charging Plug of an Electric Vehicle Charging System using the J3400 Standard
20250222797 · 2025-07-10 ·

A plug-locking device for an electric vehicle charging plug using J3400 standard. The main component of the plug-locking device consists of an outer shell, an inner shell, and a locking latch. The plug-locking device has two positions: Open and Close. In the Open position, the locking latch will be retracted into a chamber, allowing the charging plug to move freely into and out of the plug lock. In the Close position, when the charging plug is inserted, the latch will advance into the lower slot of the electrical plug, preventing the plug from being removed from the device. The inner shell has a lock anchor that passes through the outer shell. A user can install a lock at the end through this anchor to prevent the outer shell from sliding back into the open position and therefore, preventing the plug from being removed from the plug lock.
