In a state in which the second plug is connected to the second receptacle, connection of the first plug to the first receptacle is restricted by interference between the first plug and the cover member.

The device and system includes rechargeable energy storage devices that can be utilized to provide power to the outlet(s) and the light sources. The device and system can have two sections, a main and a removable section both having their own energy storage devices and light sources. The light sources can be controlled by a control circuit that can utilize one or more switches or sensors to control the activation or deactivation of the light sources and also the transfer of energy from the energy storage devices to the light sources or outlets of the main section. The main section can also have USB and electrical outlets or plugs to allow the device and system to be plugged into an AC or DC power source, and can transfer that energy to the USB and electrical outlets or plugs.

Apparatus and method for addressing a device

An addressing device and method for addressing an addressed device configured to be removeably engaged with the addressing device. The addressing device includes a series of addressing device contacts that are individually and selectively configured to move from a first contact position to a second non-contact position via a respective switch. In the first contact position, an addressing device contact forms an electrical connection with a respective addressed device contact when the addressing device and the addressed device are in the engaged position. In the second non-contact position the addressing device contact does not form an electrical connection with a respective contact of the addressed device. The sequence of continuity provided to the addressed device by the selective contact or non-contact of the addressing device contacts is used to set an address of the addressed device.

This invention relates generally to security covers for electrical appliances which are powered by mains electricity. More specifically it relates to security covers to operate the electrical appliances by authorised users locally or remotely via an authorisation device via a network such as the internet. The security cover houses a switch and includes an authorisation device for enabling an authorised person to control a power supply, via the switch, to an electrical device or appliance. The security cover has an input means adapted to receive an authorisation signal; the switch is operative in response to the authorisation signal and a command signal in order to connect and disconnect the power supply to the device or appliance.

Charging plug-in connector having an acutuator

A charging plug-in connector is provided that comprises a housing having a through-going grip opening and an actuator for activating a charging procedure, wherein the actuator extends at least in part into the through-going grip opening. This construction renders the charging plug-in connector particularly user-friendly and is still robust. If the charging plug-in connector falls down, the sensitive actuator is protected.

The power line supplies electric power. The terminal unit is mounted to the component. The terminal unit includes a signal terminal coupled to the signal line, and a power supply terminal coupled to the power line. The component includes a component-side signal terminal and a component-side power supply terminal. The component-side signal terminal is electrically conductive to the signal terminal of the mounted terminal unit. The component-side power supply terminal is electrically conductive to the power supply terminal of the mounted terminal unit.

Connector

A cover of a connector has axis portions and first and second cover contact points. A housing has axis receiving portions and first through third contact portions. The axis portions are received by the axis receiving portions, and the cover is attached to the housing to be placed at any one of an open position, a closed position and a locked position. The first contact portions are exposed in the axis receiving portions. When the cover is placed at the locked position, the axis portions are face the first contact portions from beneath, and the second cover contact points are face the second contact portions from beneath. When the cover is placed at the closed position, the first cover contact points do not touch the third contact portions. When the cover is placed at the locked position, the first cover contact points touch the third contact portions.

The connector device is connectable to the power-supply-support and power-supply-non-support electronic devices when the movable member is at the second position.
