Wire-to-wire connector with insulation displacement connection contact for integral strain relief
An apparatus includes a first electrical contact comprising a first aperture and a first insulation displacement opening. Centers of the first aperture and the first insulation displacement opening are aligned. The apparatus also includes an insulated housing comprising a first wire opening, a second wire opening, and a first electrical contact inlet extending through the first and second wire openings. The first electrical contact is at least partially inserted into the first electrical contact inlet such that at least a portion of the first aperture is aligned with the first wire opening.
Screw-on female connector for a multi-pin switch
A screw-on female connector for a multi-pin switch having a housing with a retaining flange around the front end of the housing. A screw-on nut is mounted rotatably on the front end of the housing and the retaining flange retains the screw-on nut at the front end of the housing while allowing it to be screwed onto the mounting threads of a male switch. The screw-on female connector has a front seal positioned in an interior of the housing near the front end of the housing. The front seal is constructed to form a water tight connection between the screw-on female connector and a male connector when the screw-on nut is tightened onto the male connector. The screw-on nut also prevents the two connectors from being pulled apart. A rear seal at a rear end of the housing, in combination with the front seal, completely seals the screw-on female connector.
Analyze power outlet having availability notification
A notification system including an outlet and a notification center. The outlet is configured to output a signal indicative of the availability of the outlet. The notification control unit is configured to receive the signal, determine availability of the outlet based on the signal, and output information corresponding to the availability of the outlet to at least one selected from a group consisting of a computer, a smart phone, and a tablet.
REEL BASED OUTLET RELOCATION/EXTENSION SYSTEM
A power adapter kit may include a base wall mounted power adapter configured to be plugged into a wall power outlet and at least one extension adapter unit electrically coupled to the base wall mounted power adapter and configured to be extended away from the wall power outlet. The extension adapter unit(s) may include an electrical conduit reel configured to unravel in response to the extension adapter unit(s) being extended. At least one connecting mechanism may be configured to be mounted to a wall and engage corresponding extension adapter unit(s), thereby supporting the corresponding at least one extension adapter unit by the wall.
CONNECTOR STORAGE DEVICE
A connector storage device includes a housing and a nonconductive connector on an exterior of the housing. The nonconductive connector is configured to connect with a first conductive connector. In another embodiment, a connector storage device includes a cover plate for a wall outlet or a switch, and at least one connector mounted on the cover plate. The cover plate defines at least one opening configured to permit insertion of an electrical outlet or an electrical switch, and the at least one connector is configured to connect with an electrical connector.
REEL BASED OUTLET RELOCATION/EXTENSION SYSTEM
A power adapter may include a base wall mounted power adapter configured to be plugged into a wall power outlet and at least one extension adapter unit electrically coupled to the base wall mounted power adapter and configured to be extended away from the wall power outlet. The at least one extension adapter unit may include an electrical conduit reel configured to unravel in response to the at least one extension adapter unit being extended.
Welding lead cable connector holding apparatus for locking and protecting welding leads
An apparatus for locking welding leads together or for locking a welding lead connector to a welding machine terminal connector, and for protecting such welding leads. A method of locking welding leads together or locking a welding lead connector to a welding machine terminal connector.
CONNECTOR
A connector includes a male, key-like member that is operably received in a female connector body. The key-like member includes a stem for operative association with a cord or other body and a distal element. The female connector has a body defining a proximal portion for operative association with a cord or other body and a slot extending along a surface of the body to an aperture for receiving a distal element of a first connector element. A first inside channel extends from the slot at a distal end of the connector to a depth from the surface of the slot. A second inside channel extends from the aperture to the first channel. One of the first and second connectors is provided with a sensor. The sensor indicates that the first connector element is located at the distal portion of the inside channel.
System and connector
A system includes: a connector including a first connector part connected to a first device and a second connector part being attachable and detachable with respect to the first connector part and being connected to a second device; and a detachment switch provided for the connector and operated when the second connector part is disconnected from the first connector part. The first device is configured to be triggered to perform a predetermined process when the detachment switch is operated while the second connector part remains joined to the first connector part.
Switched power over Ethernet connector
An arc prevention system including a jack having a receptacle, a modular connector sized to be positioned in the receptacle of the jack, the modular connector including a plurality of contacts, with at least two of the contacts creating an energized electrical path with an external power source in electrical communication with the external power source, a latch extending from a top surface of the modular connector, a switching unit positioned on the latch, a plug unit positioned between the latch and the jack that prevents the modular connector from moving out of the receptacle, a control circuit in electrical communication with switch and the at least two energized contacts, where the electrical path between the control circuit and the switching unit is energized when the plug engages the switching unit on the latch, and the control circuit adjusts the energized electrical path to a predetermined electrical level.
