Electric power device with integrated safety measure

In a particular implementation, an electric power device includes a body, a receptacle configured to receive a plug, and a source connector configured to be coupled to a power source. The electric power device further includes a casing coupled to the body and movable with respect to the body between a first position in which the casing defines an enclosed chamber and access to the receptacle is inhibited and a second position in which the casing is configurable to enable access to the receptacle for receipt of the plug. A transition from the first position to the second position is configured to cause the receptacle to be electrically decoupled from the source connector when the casing is at the second position, and a transition from the second position to the first position is configured to cause the receptacle to be electrically coupled to the source connector when the casing is at the first position.

A plug-in connection assembly of a light-emitting diode (LED) display device, an LED box assembly and the LED display device are provided. The plug-in connection assembly of an LED display device includes a first plug-in connection member; a second plug-in connection member spaced apart from the first plug-in connection member; and an intermediate structure arranged between the first plug-in connection member and the second plug-in connection member, wherein the intermediate structure includes a third plug-in connection member and a fourth plug-in connection member that are spaced apart from each other, and a driving member for driving the third plug-in connection member and the fourth plug-in connection member to move. When the driving member is in an initial position, the third plug-in connection member and the fourth plug-in connection member are close to each other, the third plug-in connection member is separated from the first plug-in connection member, and the fourth plug-in connection member is separated from the second plug-in connection member. When the driving member is in a pushing position, the third plug-in connection member and the fourth plug-in connection member are away from each other, the third plug-in connection member is connected with the first plug-in connection member in a plug-in manner, and the fourth plug-in connection member is connected with the second plug-in connection member in a plug-in manner. The technical solution of the disclosure effectively solves the problem of insecurity caused because wires are distributed at backs of LED boxes.

Improvements are disclosed to known twist-lock electrical connectors, whose plug blades form parallel segments of a common cylindrical form. After insertion in a compatible receptacle, rotating the connectors relative to each other engages features intended to prevent accidental separation, but which do not positively lock. An improved plug is disclosed providing positive locking and with prior art receptacles.
