Motor programming tool
A tool for programming a controller of an electric motor by engaging a connection block of the motor and providing high voltage power and communicating programming signals to the controller. The tool includes a body having an interface for engaging the connection block, and internal wiring presenting tool terminals at the interface for making contact with corresponding motor terminals to allow for providing power and communicating signals between the tool and the controller. An energy-limited transformer having an isolated high impedance secondary winding provides both electrical isolation to protect against shock and low energy output to protect against arc flash. Redundant interlocks include a software interlock which allows the power to be present at the interface only during actual programming of the controller. A light ring encircling the body indicates the presence of high voltage and is visible from multiple directions.
Thermally efficient connector system
A connector assembly can be provided. A receptacle includes terminals that can be positioned in a card slot on a 0.60 mm pitch (or greater). A biasing element can be provided in the card slot to engage a mating paddle card. The receptacle can be configured to allow air to flow from a front face to a rear face, the air passing through a middle wall. A plug assembly can be provided that includes a conductive body and is configured to generate some amount of heat. The body can include a surface that has cooling grooves. The cooling grooves allow air flow over the plug assembly so that the plug assembly can be cooled directly.
Card edge connector with holes for transferring light
A card edge connector includes a longitudinal insulative housing, a number of terminals retained in the insulative housing, a pair of transparent members mounted to the insulative housing, and a metallic shell surrounding around the insulative housing. The insulative housing has two side walls extending along a longitudinal direction, two end walls connecting between the longitudinal ends of the two side walls and a center slot defined therebetween. The metallic shell includes two covering portions respectively located above the two side walls in a vertical direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. Each of the covering portions has a number of through-holes arranged above the transparent members to leak out the light transferred therefrom.
Electric vehicle charging handle, light pipe therefor, and associated light visibility enhancing method
A light pipe is for an EV charging handle. The EV charging handle includes a housing having a thru hole, and a light source coupled to the housing. The light pipe includes a body structured to be coupled to the light source in order to transmit light from the light source through the thru hole of the housing, the body having a first side portion having a first interior surface having a first surface roughness, and a second side portion extending from the first side portion, the second side portion having a second interior surface having a second surface roughness greater than the first surface roughness in order to increase a visibility range with which the light is transmitted through the thru hole of the housing.
Communication devices including an illumination source and a physical input sensor
Communication devices are disclosed. In an example embodiment, a communication device may include a communication module including an illumination source and a body element. The body element may be configured to allow illumination generated by the illumination source to propagate within and illuminate at least a portion of an outer surface of the body element.

A light pipe is for an EV charging handle. The EV charging handle includes a housing having a thru hole, and a light source coupled to the housing. The light pipe includes a body structured to be coupled to the light source in order to transmit light from the light source through the thru hole of the housing, the body having a first side portion having a first interior surface having a first surface roughness, and a second side portion extending from the first side portion, the second side portion having a second interior surface having a second surface roughness greater than the first surface roughness in order to increase a visibility range with which the light is transmitted through the thru hole of the housing.
Adaptive card and motherboard having the same
An adaptive card is provided. The adaptive card is adapted to a motherboard with a connecting slot. The adaptive card includes a main body, a first connector, a second connector, a plurality of first fixing holes, a plurality of second fixing holes and a port. The main body includes a first surface, a second surface and a side edge. The first connector is configured on the first surface. The second connector is configured on the second surface. A plurality of first fixing holes are formed on the first surface and arranged along a direction corresponding to an insertion direction of the first connector. A plurality of second fixing holes are formed on the second surface and arranged along a direction corresponding to an insertion direction of the second connector. A port is configured on the side edge and used to be connected to the connecting slot.

An optical communication module includes: a casing with an optical signal port and an electrical signal port arranged respectively on two ends of the casing; a circuit board assembly and an optical component assembly arranged inside the casing, the circuit board assembly including a circuit board and a control unit arranged on the circuit board; a fiber-optic communication cable connected to the optical signal port; and a status indicator unit arranged on the fiber-optic communication cable.
Male to Male Adapter
The invention relates to the novel ornamental and utilitarian features of a module/adapter (e.g. male-to-male power adapter) for safety connecting the output interface of a backup power source (such as the outlet of a generator) with an electric circuit (such as a female duplex power outlet of a typical home). Such connection requires a male-to-male adapter which would be unsafe without the disclosed safety features.
