Panel with connector and secured protective cover
A connector secured to a panel and connectable to a circuit terminal. The connector extends through a panel opening with a flange abutting the panel rear and a front portion with a connecting terminal projecting from the panel front. A lock washer around the connector front portion includes a planar washer body and integral lock tabs radially outward of its central aperture. A securing tab extends radially from the washer body and is bent away from the panel front face. A nut is secured to the connector outer thread over the lock washer. A protective cover is selectively securable over the connector front portion by threading on the connector outer thread, and a lanyard secures the protective cover to the lock washer securing tab.
Housing for breakout cords terminated to plates
A mounting system for facilitating ordered mating of plural connectors includes a first plate having plural mounting positions for first connectors. A second plate is attached to the first plate by a standoff. A housing extends between the first and second plates and substantially covers an area between the first and second plates. In a keying embodiment, each mounting position has an inner perimeter shape different than the others. Each connector of plural first connectors includes a threaded portion holding a first nut with an outer perimeter having a shape unique as compared to the other first nuts. The outer perimeter of the first nut seats into one, and only one, of the plural mounting positions. A third plate is mounted to and spaced from the first plate. The third plate includes plural keyholes which are aligned to the plural mounting positions. Each keyhole has an inner perimeter shape matching the inner perimeter shape of the mounting position to which the keyhole is aligned. The keyholes only permit a second connector, with a matching key nut, to pass therethrough and mate into the first connector in the aligned mounting position.
Connector
A connector includes: a sensor side connector section mounted to a connector mounting hole and fastened thereto by thread fastening and including a first housing part in which a first terminal is disposed; and a wire harness side connector section disposing a second terminal and including a second housing part capable of being fitted to the first housing part. The connector mounting hole includes a key groove, and the first housing part includes a key protrusion. A bolt prevented from moving axially and supported rotatably is provided on the outer periphery of the first housing part. Screwing the bolt into the connector mounting hole fastens the first housing part to the connector mounting hole by thread fastening.
Conduit connection system having a pivoting housing
An electrical connection system connecting a flexible conduit to electrical conductors, comprising a conduit portion and a removably attachable base portion. The conduit portion retains an end of the conduit, via a retention mechanism within a first housing at a first end. The conduit portion comprises a first electrical connector housing and electrical terminals within a second end of the first housing. The base portion comprises a base mount and a second housing having a first end pivotably connected to the base mount, the second housing being pivotable at a joint. The base portion may also comprise a second electrical connector housing and electrical terminals within a second end of the second housing for electrical connection to the conduit portion. Mechanical fastening components of the base portion and the conduit portion enable a mechanical connection between the base portion and the conduit portion.
Mounting housing for plug-in connections
Add-on housing for a plug-in connection, which add-on housing has a housing side with at least one first fastening form and a plug-in side with at least one holding form, wherein a flange is arranged between the housing side and the plug-in side, which flange is provided for attaching the add-on housing to an appliance housing, wherein the plug-in side has at least two holding forms, at least one first holding form and at least one second holding form.
Electrical connector having latch release collar
An electrical connector includes a circular housing having a cavity configured to receive a mating connector. The housing holds power terminals in the cavity. The housing has a mating end having a generally circular cross-section. The housing has a flexible latch at the mating end configured to engage a latch of the mating connector. The flexible latch has a pull hook extending therefrom. A release collar is slidably coupled to the housing at the mating end in an axial direction between a forward position and a rearward position. The release collar has an actuator ramp facing the pull hook. The actuator ramp engages the pull hook to actuate the flexible latch to release the flexible latch from a latch of the mating connector as the release collar is moved in the axial direction to the rearward position.
Plate for cable connector attachments
A mounting system for facilitating ordered mating of plural connectors includes a bracket having at least one feature for securing to a pole or wall. A plate is connected to the bracket and includes plural mounting positions. Optional grounding and/or surge arrestors may be included. In a keying embodiment, each mounting position has an inner perimeter shape different than the inner perimeter shapes of the other mounting positions. Each connector of plural first connectors includes a threaded portion holding a first nut with an outer perimeter having a shape unique as compared to the first nuts of other first connectors. The outer perimeter of the first nut seats into one, and only one, of the plural mounting positions of the plate. Optionally, a second plate may be mounted to and spaced from the first plate. The second plate includes plural keyholes which are aligned to the plural mounting positions. Each keyhole has an inner perimeter shape matching the inner perimeter shape of the mounting position to which the keyhole is aligned. The keyholes only permit a second connector, with a matching key nut, to pass therethrough and mate into the first connector in the aligned mounting position.
POWER INTERCONNECTS IN A MODULAR ACCESS PANEL
A bolt-through type power connector includes a metal plate portion and a metal attachment portion. The bolt-through type power connector has a first end and a second end. The bolt-through type power connector includes a metal plate portion at the first end. The metal plate portion includes a structure that is configured to support one or more ring terminals of one or more power cables. The structure is (a) a through hole, which is in the metal plate portion and sized to receive a bolt that is configured to support the one or more ring terminals, or (b) a stud, which is configured to support the one or more ring terminals. The metal attachment portion extends from the metal plate portion to the second end. The metal attachment portion has a male engagement portion with a flange portion that provides a surface facing the second end.
