The present disclosure relates to a connector for a bus bar including a bar-shaped finger divided into a central portion, a pair of end portions symmetrically formed on opposite sides of the central portion, and a pair of connecting portions respectively formed between the central portion and the pair of end portions. The connector for a bus bar includes: a plurality of fingers, at least two or more of which are stacked in the thickness direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction to form one side portion and at least two or more of which are stacked in the thickness direction to form the other side portion disposed opposite to the one side portion; a pair of coil springs, one end and the other end of which is fixed to the one side portion and the other side portion to be arranged at a predetermined distance apart from each other with respect to the central portion of the finger; and a bracket for supporting the one side portion and the other side portion.

This disclosure provides connectors for smart windows. A smart window may incorporate an optically switchable pane. In one aspect, a window unit includes an insulated glass unit including an optically switchable pane. A wire assembly may be attached to the edge of the insulated glass unit and may include wires in electrical communication with electrodes of the optically switchable pane. A floating connector may be attached to a distal end of the wire assembly. The floating connector may include a flange and a nose, with two holes in the flange for affixing the floating connector to a first frame. The nose may include a terminal face that present two exposed contacts of opposite polarity. Pre-wired spacers improve fabrication efficiency and seal integrity of insulated glass units. Electrical connection systems include those embedded in the secondary seal of the insulated glass unit.

The electrical connector includes a receptacle with a bus bar electrically isolated from nearby connectors. The connector further includes a plug configured to mate with the receptacle. The plug includes several electrical contacts configured to make an electrical connection to the bus bar of the receptacle, when mated. Within the plug, tensioning device for each electrical contact applies a spring force to the contact. The electrical contacts are sized and positioned to match the bus bar geometry for balanced current flow and to avoid interface internal heating. The electrical connector of this disclosure may be desirable for application in which power electronics interface with other electronics.
