Electric motor and brush thereof

A brush used to contact with a commutator, includes a brush body which includes two opposite axial end faces and a protruding portion projecting from the brush body toward the commutator. The protruding portion includes a first surface, a second surface and at least two teeth. The first surface and the second surface are respectively adjacent to the two axial end faces. Angles formed between the first surface and the second surface and corresponding adjacent axial end faces are obtuse. The teeth is located between the first surface and the second surface, and extends generally along a circumferential direction of the commutator. The ratio of a total width of the at least two teeth in an axial direction of the brush to an axial height of the brush body is in the range of 0.25-0.75. An electric motor including the brush is also provided.

Brush system of an electric motor

A brush system of an electric motor, having a commutator, at least one brush that is guided within a brush duct and is provided with a connection line, and a spring element that exerts a spring force on the brush when the spring element is effectively connected thereto, such that the brush rests against the commutator; the brush duct includes a longitudinal duct slot inside which the connection line extends and which has a constriction that the connection line penetrates when the effective connection between the spring element and the brush is established.

Motor having columnar brush

A motor includes a frame having an outer diameter of 10 millimeters or less and an inner surface. The motor also includes an annular magnet attached to the inner surface of the frame, a bracket provided at the frame, and a columnar brush formed of carbon and having an outer peripheral surface. In addition, the motor includes a commutator contacting the outer peripheral surface of the brush, and an elastic member supporting the brush at the bracket. A part of the elastic member is disposed inside of the columnar brush.

COLLECTION DEVICE FOR COLLECTING ELECTRICAL CURRENTS, AND MACHINE COMPRISING A COLLECTION DEVICE OF THIS KIND

A discharge device for discharging electric currents from a rotor part of a machine, said rotor part having a shaft, the discharge device comprising an axially displaceable contact element, which is at least partly accommodated in a guide, for forming an electroconductive sliding contact between a sliding contact surface of the contact element and a shaft contact surface of the shaft, the sliding contact surface being provided for forming the sliding contact, the contact element being electroconductively connected to the guide and/or a retaining element of the machine, and the contact element being prestressed towards the shaft contact surface by means of a spring element, the contact element being at least partly wetted with an oily fluid, in particular at least in the area of its sliding contact surface.

CONTACTING DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING ELECTRIC CURRENTS, AND MACHINES COMPRISING SUCH A CONTACTING DEVICE

A contacting device for transmitting electric currents of a rotor part of a machine, said rotor part being formed by a shaft and/or slip ring, to a machine, and to the use of a discharge device, wherein the discharge device comprises a contact element for forming an electrically conductive sliding contact between a sliding contact surface of the contact element, said sliding contact surface being provided in order to form the sliding contact, and a rotor contact surface of the shaft or the slip ring, and a recess is formed in the sliding contact surface. The contact element is at least partly coated with an oily fluid, in particular at least in the region of the sliding contact surface.
